Chibi Kids Dressed As Forrest Animals

SEE POST BELOW FOR THE PEACHY KEEN RELEASE PARTY CHALLENGES!

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at SVG Cutting Files and I have some super cute cards to share with you! I just LOVE these new Chibi Kids Dressed as Forrest Animals!!! They are available in the SVG Cutting Files store NOW!

I started this card with the Trapezoid Card Base and stamped the background may using Peachy Keen's Oak Leaves and Acorns Background stamp. I stamped it in VersaMark ink and colored over it with chalk. This is a really simple and fun technique. You can see a short tutorial HERE on how I do this.
I cut the Chibi Kid Dressed as a Fox and used the Peachy Keen Moodies face stamp for the kids face and the Erkle And Merkle face stamps for the fox's eyes.
The leaves were cut using the SVG Cutting Files freebie Fall Leaves file and I crumpled them up and did lots of inking on them. I attached them to the card under a button with a twine bow.
To finish I stamped the sentiment from Peachy Keen's PKSC-09 September 2012 stamp set onto a My Craft Spot Ribbon Banner Metal Die.

For this card, I used the Chibi Kid Dressed as a Deer. I stamped the deer face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed face stamp and the kids face with a In The Garden face stamp. I mounted her with pop dots to an oval mat that I embossed with the Seeing Spot's cuttlebug folder and added a twine bow. The sentiment banner I created by using My Craft Spot's Ribbon Banner Metal Dies-Arched. I cut off the ends to make a simple rounded sentiment banner and mounted it under the oval mat.

For the last card, I used the Chibi Kid Dressed As A Bear. I stamped the bear face using Peachy Keen's Teddy Bear face stamps and the kids face with a In The Garden face stamp. I hand cut the mat using decorative scissors and added a black stitched line to it. I cut out the sentiment banner using My Craft Spot's Tiny Banner Metal Dies and stamped the sentiment using MCS's Tiny Tags 3.

I hope you all enjoyed seeing my cards and thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!

Peachy Keen Release Party Challenges

Hello everyone! So, did you attend the Peachy Keen Release Party? HOW cute are the new stamps?!?! Kathy never fails to amaze me with her creativity!

Along with the party, there are some fun challenges to play along in. Here is what I created for the first challenge which is hosted by Melissa. For this challenge you are to make a treat bag using Orange and Green colors and 1 button.

I made the treat bag using the tutorial that you can find HERE. I stamped and paper pieced the Thanksgiving bird using Peachy Keen's Lil' Tweets Thanksgiving and stamped the sentiment from this set also. I added some eyelets to the top and used some twine to close the bag finishing with a button on top.

For the second challenge hosted by Amy, you are to make a holiday decoration by up-cycling something in your house. I decided to use a used up ribbon roll to make an ornament.
Here is what I started with

I added some decorative trim around the outside of the ribbon spool before I added the rosette center.

I cut a 2 1/2 X 11 inch piece of white cardstock and scored it at 1/4 inch intervals. Then I folded it up and glue the ends together. I glued it to the spool and also added another ball style trim to the edge. I stamped and paper pieced that super cute snowman using one of the new add on sets called Picture Snow Day. I stamped the sentiment using another one of the new add on sets called Pusten & Jud Snow Couple onto a My Craft Spot Ribbon Banner Metal Die.
To created the hanger, I glued some silver rope trim around the inside of the roll and tied a bow to the top to create the hanging loop.

I hope you all liked my projects and will play along in the challenges! Have a great weekend!

Peachy Keen November Sneak Peeks

Hello everyone! I am sharing some sneak peeks for the Peachy Keen November Release! OH BOY....these are AWESOME! You all are going to just LOVE these fun stamps!

For my first card I used the NEW November SOTM set. I stamped the snowman doll, the needles in her, the buttons around the frame, the sentiment, the spools of thread, and the scissors. I cut the mat with some decorative scissors to get the shape and a circle mat to mount the thread and scissors onto. I used my sewing machine to do the stitching around the outside mat and added a bow with a brad center.

For the next card, I also used the NEW November SOTM set. I stamped the postage frames onto square mats and inked the edges. I also stamped the snowflakes and snowman in the centers and colored them with Copics. I mounted them to a torn strip of paper and added some banners I cut with My Craft Spot's Lacy Banner Metal Dies. To finish I stamped the sentiment and added a bow.

And for my last card, I used one of the new add on sets called Pusten & Jud Snow Couple. ...don't you just LOVE the names Kathy comes up with for these adorable stamps?!?!?
I stamped and paper pieced the snowman. I added a ribbon with bow and hanging snowflake that I used out of the Nov. SOTM set and embossed it in white. To finish I stamped the sentiment onto My Craft Spot's Ribbon Banner Metal Dies- Straight.

Head over to the Peachy Keen Blog to see more of these super cute sneak peeks all week long! And come join in the fun on Tuesday November 5th at 6 pm CST at the Peachy Keen Facebook page for the full release party! There will be lots of inspiration, challenges, and prizes to be won!
