Piglet Baby Card

FOR THE WHIMSICAL WEDNESDAY POST SEE PLEASE SEE POST BELOW!
Happy Friday everyone! I did this card to enter into My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday challenge and Cricut 360's challenge. The challenge for Throwback Thursday is to use a Font cartridge and at 360 it is to make a baby card and dry embossing.
I printed and cut Piglet from Pooh Font using my Imagine. I used the Disney RGB codes to get the acurate colors and they can be found at Courtney Lane Designs on the top right side of her page. The background mat is a Nestability die that I embossed using the Cuttlebug Poka Dots folder. I hand cut the tag and stamped it. I attatched it with twine and added 3 gems to it. Super simple, but Oh so cute!
I also wanted to remind everyone of the Whimsical Wednesday Halloween Blog Hop next Friday at 7 pm! You don't want to miss it! Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

WW Anything Goes Challenge

Good morning everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Whimsical Wednesdays! This time the challenge is "Anything Goes"  Create a card or project using anything of your choice.
Our sponsors this week are Prairie Bird Boutique and Cindy from Cindy's Little Creations. Prairie Bird Boutique has generously donated a Shabby Wrinkled Ribbon bundle of your choice and Cindy is giving away 3 of her SUPER CUTE digital stamps!
Speaking of Cindy's digital stamps, the one I used in my card is one of hers! How cute is that!!! She is such a talented woman and I just love all of her digi's.
I colored my image with colored pencils and chalk and then added Glossy Accents for highlights.I used wrinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique and gathered it around the outside back of the image mat and mounted it to pop dots. I added a punched drippy goo border and added purple tinsel string to it that is also from Prairie Bird Boutique. I punched different sized stars out of glitter paper and added them to the side.
I hope you all will play along this week and don't forget to check out what the other amazing DT members have created. I can't wait to see what you'll create!

Broom Parking Here!

Good morning everyone! Here is the card that I made for M.A.G. Challenge By The Page. This time the challenge was to use Doodlecharms page 105 and only use the Cricut cuts from that page. You are free to use all the embellishments you want.
I cut the bear from Doodlecharms and stamped the face with a Peachy Keen face stamp. I also chalked around the edges and used a black pen for the outline. The hat, broom, and cat are all from the Disney Cuttlebug Halloween die and embossing set. This set is so cute and fun. I inked around the cat and broom and used a white pen for the highlights. I also used a silver marker to color the buckle on the hat. The sign I cut by hand and stamped it with a stamp from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting set. I used black floss to make the hanger for it and hung it from a brad. To finish I tied a ribbon and stamped the inside and added a strip of matching paper. I hope you all like my card and thanks for looking! Have a great day!

Halloween Z Fold Card

Hello everyone! I have a card to show you today that I did for fun. I love doing Z fold cards and this one was super fun to create.
I cut Frankie, the fence, the bats, and the witch from Happy Hauntings. I cut 10 layers of grass from the fence cut for the grass in front of the mansion. ( I know...I'm crazy! LOL!)  The mansion was cut from October 31st and I hid all the layers in my Gypsy to get the solid piece for the back. The sign I cut by hand and stamped it and the inside of the card with stamps from My Craft Spots Happy Hauntings set.
I hope you all are having a great day and thanks for looking!

Treat Cup Card

Happy Saturday everyone! I am starting to get in the Halloween mood so I made this fun card. I cut the ghost and cat from Paper Doll Dress Up and stamped their faces with Peachy Keen face stamps. I did some highlighting on the cat with a white pen, white inked the edges, and chalked the edges of the ghost. I got these treat cups from Stamp'n Up awhile back and this seemed like a fun idea. I filled it with candy corn and mounted it to a scallop circle from the Lacey Circles Nestabilities set. I stamped the sentiment from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting set and the crinkle ribbon is from Prarie Bird Boutique.
I am working on lots of fun stuff for the upcoming Whimisical Wednesday Halloween Blog Hop so make sure you come and see all the great projects we will have for you on OCT. 7th! Have a great day!

Falling Leaves

IF YOU"RE LOOKING FOR THE WHIMSICAL WEDNESDAY POST, PLEASE SEE POST BELOW!
Hello everyone! I have a card today that I made for several challenges. I had so much fun making this card and I love how it turned out.
I cut the tree from Live Simply at 3 inches. I inked the edges and did some highlighting on the owl with a black pen. The leaves are from a punch and I also inked the edges on them too. For the bottom I just tore a piece of paper, inked the edges, and added more leaves. The tag I cut by hand and stamped it with a stamp from My Craft Spots Happy Fall set. I inked the edges, added a leaf to it, and tied it on with Deep Rust colored crinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
More Than Favors CCCC- Use Live Simply
Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday- Use Country Life or similar cut. I saw a similar tree on that cartridge.
My Craft Spots Monday Challenge- Happy Harvest
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Just Because

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Whimsical Wednesdays! This week the challenge is to make a "Just Because" project. Make something for someone to let them know that you are thinking of them and it must include a digital image or sentiment.
This week we are working with Bugaboo stamps. Can anyone say CUTE!!! Not only is the DT working with them this week, but the prize for this challenge is a Gift Card for $21 to Bugaboo Stamps for the equivilant of 7 DIGI STAMPS! How fun is that!
I chose this super cute turtle and ladybug image to work with. I don't usually work with digi's so it took me awhile to figure out my coloring. I only own like 10 Copics and didn't like how my colors worked so I chose to do mine with a combination of chalk, colored pencils, and a copic marker for the ladybugs face.
I started by sizing and printing my image from my computer. I used green chalk and chalked the entire turtle. I then went over it around the outside and lines with a darker green colored pencil and the used the chalk to blend it all back together. I did the same for the ladybug except for the face which I used the Copic marker on. To add my light  highlights, after it was all done I took an eraser and lighly erased away the light spots. I cut the scallop frame and mat from Straight From The Nest. The ladybugs on the side are rub-ons that I scattered and then using a black pen, I did the dotted line. The bottom of the card I punched a border strip and added a piece of co-ordinating paper to the center, punched the sentiment tag with Fiskars punches and stamped the sentiment.
I hope you all like my card and will play along this week at Whimsical Wednesdays! Please don't forget to check out the other fabulous designers work. Including in that we have 2 GUEST DESIGNERS from the Bugaboo DT!And for even more inspiration please check out the Bugaboo Blog, Catch The Bug Challenge Blog. I can't wait to see what you'll create!

Heard You're Feeling "RUFF"

Good morning everyone! Before I get to my card I just want to say THANK YOU to all the men and women that help protect our country everyday. I also want to say that I will never forget the tremendous service these people provided us on 9/11. God Bless You All!
This is the card that I made to enter into Tacky Tuesdays challenge. This time the challenge is to use a dog and the words "RUFF" or "WOOF".
I cut the dog from Everyday Paper Dolls at 3.5 inches and stamped his face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed face stamp. I didn't want the tear so I masked that off before I stamped it. I chalked around the edges and used a black and white pen to do the highlighting. The thermometer was cut from Smiley Cards and the bed was cut from Four Legged Friends. I printed the sentiment off my computer and added "tissues" to his bed. I did this by cutting small squares of tissue paper and crumpling them up to look like a tissue. I pop dotted the top layer of the bed and glued the tissues in between the layers.
I hope you all are having a wonderful day and thanks for looking!

M.A.G. Challenge #42 Halloween Treat Bag

Hello everyone! Here is a Halloween candy bag that I made for M.A.G. Challenge By The Page's challenge. This time the challenge is to use Once Upon A Princess pg. 66 only for your Cricut cuts.
I printed and cut the bag using my Imagine and Imagine More for the pattern. I cut it from Once Upon A Princess at fit to page. Kimberly at My Craft Spot has some great tutorials for using her crinkle ribbon. I just loved how the pleated ribbon looked so I did this for the top of my bag. The witch is from a stamp that I got from Michaels and I colored it with Copic markers. I used my scallop scissors to cut the mats for both the witch and sentiment frames. The sentiment stamp is from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting set and the crinkle ribbon is also from My Craft Spot. If you haven't checked out her new stamps or fall colored ribbon you really should! They're FABULOUS!
I hope you all like my Halloween bag and thanks for looking! Also don't forget that the Whimsical Wednesday Blog hop is coming up on October 7th!

Grandparents Day

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Celebrate The Occasion! This week the challenge is Grandparents Day. Create a card or project for the wonderful grandparents in our lives!
For my card I cut the grandparents from Car Decals. For each color, I cut a layer and fitted them together like a puzzle. For grandma's hair I used the Family button. It did not include the cut for her bun so I had to cut that one by hand. I added Glossy Accents to their glasses and to grandpa's shoes and added a white stitching line to his tie. The card design is very simple, just strips of paper. On green piece I printed the sentiment from my computer before I cut the strip.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the fabulous design team had made for inspiration! I hope you will play along this week and I can't wait to see what you will create! Have a great day!

Throwback Thursday

Good morning all! It's  the start of the nice long weekend...YAY! I will be going "up north" to my sister in laws cabin and I can't wait! It's so pretty up there. Todays card I made to enter into My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday challenge. This time the challenge is CRICUTLESS....and the colors PURPLE, ORANGE, GREEN, and BLACK.
I bought this SUPER cute Bo Bunny kit last year and didn't get to use it so I pulled it out and used it for this challenge. There are some really cute things in there. I changed the base of my card from what was in the kit and used my sewing maching to sew a line around the card. The scallop frame, mat, and bat were punched out from the paper kit. I used some distress ink and inked around the bat and the scallop frame. I tied a bow using My Craft Spots crinkle ribbon and added a brad around the center that I picked up at Wal-Mart.....97 cents for a 6 pack!!! To finish I attathcehd the bow using the brad and stamped the sentiment.
Thanks for looking and have a FUN and SAFE weekend!
