You're Snow Wonderful

Hello everyone! I wanted to share this card I made with you. I had a "snow day" and decided to play with my Imagine! It is SO poorly neglected, but at least I have fun when I do get to play with it!
I have seen my great friend Cindy at Cindy's Scraptastic Designs use this background for projects and always thought it was so cool, so I decided to try one myself.

I printed the background at 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 using my Imagine and Snow Angel. I trimmed it down to the size of my card and added some punched snowflakes and pearl dots for the snow. The deer was cut from Campin Critters at 3 inches and I stamped the eyes with Peachy Keen's Cornies face stamps. I made the sentiment doily using My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies Dies and stamped the sentiment with MCS's Think Snow stamp set.

I hope you all like my card and please come back on Saturday when I will have a SNEAK PEEK of the NEW Peachy Keen stamps being released this Tuesday! The sneak peeks will start on Friday and you can see them at the Peachy Keen blog. Have a great day!

I am going to enter this into the Whimsical Wednesday Winter Wonderland Challenge.

Pooh Baby Shower Invitation

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is to make an invitation or announcement. Such as for a wedding, baby, or party.
I am going to admit that I LOVE how this turned out! Pooh is so stinkin cute and just screams "Baby" to me. I love Disney images for Cricut, but they are SO hard to put together. SO....I did my cheater method with my Imagine. My "cheater method", incase you've never heard me talk of it before, is to layer all the cuts on top of each other in Cricut Craft Room and then just print using my Imagine. After it was printed, I trimmed it down and rounded the corners. I added it to a chocolate brown mat and added the ribbon by punching holes and threading ribbon through. Then I stamped all the sentiments using My Craft Spot's New Arrival set. This set makes it so easy to create beautiful handmade invitations! To finish I added Glossy Accents to the bubbles and Pooh's nose.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my invitation and will play along this week! Please don't forget to check out what the rest of the amazing DT had created. Have a wonderful day!

Eeyore

Hello everyone! Exploring Cricut's challenge is to create something using a Disney cart. I am actually sad to say that I only own 1 Disney cart...this is sad because I LOVE Disney!
This is the card that I created for the challenge. I used Pooh Font for Eeyore and my Imagine for the exact colors. You can find the Disney RGB codes HERE. I added a white stitching line around the card and inside mat. The tag I cut by hand using a corner rounders and stamped the sentiment. The sun was cut from Create A Critter. I just love Eeyore and this card!
Thank you for looking and have a great day!

Movie Night Gift Bag

Hello everyone! Here is the gift bag that I created for Peachy Keen's challenge. This week the challenge is "Stamp A Gift Bag" I recycled a Starbucks bag and turned it into this! I thought this would be so much fun to give to a child as a "rewards" bag, or even just a Family Movie night surprise.
I used my Imagine and did my "cheater" method. This means that I layered all the cuts on to one another and printed only. I kept the big popcorn box on the white and then only had to cut out the small popcorn box and the ticket. All the cuts on the bag are from County Fair....don't you just LOVE those faces on the popcorn? LOL! I stamped the faces with the Peachy Keen Cornies faces and did some highlights on the cuts. The scallop top and bottom were cut from Accent Essential. I welded 2 together and hid the dots in the center. I used the NEW Tiny Tags 2 Stamp Set from My Craft Spot to stamp the sentiments on the labels and added the tag with some twine.
Then you have to fill the bag right!?! I put in one of my FAV movie, Walk The Line ( I have a BAD habit of buying LOTS of movies at Christmas time when Wal-mart has them for $2 each, so I ALWAYS have lots of movies still in the plastic)  and some candy and popcorn. OK, maybe my GIGANTIC bag of fresh Kettle Corn that I got from the craft fair this weekend is a little big, but you get the idea! LOL!
I hope you like my fun gift bag and thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Patchwork Bee Card

Hello everyone! Here is a card with matching envelope that I made. I learned a new trick and I will share it with you!
When I decided that I wanted to make this card using the bee from Create A Critter, I thought....4 bee's at 1.5 inches....that's a lot of little pieces. So I tried something in CCR and it worked! I added all the pieces for the bee to my mat and filled them with colors from Lori's Garden. I made a copy of the wings and the head/belly piece and had to hide one wing on one cut and the opposite on the other copy so I could layer them. Otherwise you have the set of wings, but they don't match up. I then layered all the pieces in the order that they go and clicked the Don't Weld button for each piece. This way I ended up with a fully colored bee without having to cut all the layer's separately. I also hid the face so I could stamp those cute PK faces on them. Here is what it looked like after I printed them only, no cutting.
The only downfall to this technique is that you can't cut them. I tried and it will cut each piece out so you're left with a mess! LOL! But if you're looking to put something like this on a white background, it's a great trick! Ok, now I'll explain how I made the card and envelope....sorry this is such a long post!
I printed the bee's from Create A Critter and stamped the faces with Peachy Keen's Cornies faces. The frames were cut from Accent Essentials and I cut an extra one for a template. With the template frame, I lined it up over the bee where I wanted it and traced it. I then cut the bee into a square 1/8 inch smaller than the frame and glued the frame to the bee square. The flowers were cut from Mother's Day Bouquet and I added brads to the centers. For the center one I stamped the sentiment. I made the matching envelope using a framed bee, a decorative strip of paper which I added a punched border to.
I hope you all understand my directions for doing this technique. Essentially you are just printing your otherwise cut image. I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. Die Cuttin Diva's- Sketch
2. The Paper Variety- Card with matching envelope. Envelope must include 2 different elements.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Happy Hello

Good morning everyone! Here is the card that I made for Peachy Keen's Just Card's Faux Stitching challenge. I had so much fun making this card and I just LOVE how cute it is. Then again, anything with a PK face is cute to me! LOL!
I used my Imagine and Loris Garden for all the colored paper in this card. The bunny was cut from Simply Charmed and I hid the entire face to just make it a plain bunny. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed face stamp and did a faux stitching line around him. I also used colored pencils for the highlights on the carrot. The sun was cut from Smiley Cards and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Happy Lashes face and added a faux stitching line around him as well. The grass and fence were cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and I hand punched the flower. I used a black and white pen for the centers on the flowers and did a faux stitching line around the entire card as well as the sentiment tag. The sentiment is from Whimsical Designs Everyday Sentiments.
I hope you all like my card and thanks for looking! Have a great Sunday!

"Celebrate Spring" Whimsical Wednesday Challenge

Hello everyone. It is with a super sad heart to say that this will be the last Whimsical Wednesday challenge. Stephanie had decided to take some well deserved time off and will no longer be hosting challenges. If you're like me, this is one of the first challenge's that I found when I first started blogging and played in too. I know that it will be missed greatly by a lot of you. Stephanie has been the most wonderful person to DT for and I will miss this very much. I also just want to say THANK YOU STEPHANIE for being such a wonderful friend and the awesome stamps you provided us with. You went above and beyond what most do and I want to let you know that I greatly appreciated it. XOXOXO
So now on to the last challenge....
It's time for a new Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. This time the challenge is "Celebrate Spring". Create any card or project to celebrate spring. This can be a spring image, colors, you decide how you celebrate spring.
I made this pretty card with the colors of spring in mind and bird's chirping. That's one of my favorite things about spring, waking up to the birds chirping.
My card is fairly simple, just a lot of layers. I cut all the layers and rounded some of the corners with a corner punch and inked all the edges. I made the banner in the center by cutting it by hand and the scallop center mat was cut from Cricut Craft Room Basics. I used my sewing machine and sewed around the blue mat and printed and cut the bird from the Imagine Lori's Garden cart. To finish I added a ribbon that I made using a brad center and stamped the sentiment which is from Whimsical Designs Whimsical Fun Vol. 1 stamp set.

I hope you all will play along this week and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the amazing DT has created! Have a great day and I can't wait to see what you will create!

Happy Chick!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I am in heaven right now! It's only March 17, and it is supposed to be 76 degrees here today!!!! YAY! It has been in the upper 60's and lower 70's ALL week! Thus, I am in heaven...LOL! I have had my windows open with a wonderful breeze blowing through my house and all of my tulips are up 8 inches already. Ahhh, spring!
I have a card to show you today that I did for the BBTB2 challenge. This week the challenge is Bunnies and Chicks, use and bunny or chick on your project.
This entire card I did in CCR with my Imagine and all of the colors are from the Best Friends cart. The card base was cut by welding 2 scallop circles together from Cricut Craft Room Basics and so was the mat. I cut my all time favorite chick from Create A Critter and stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Happy Lashes face stamp.I did some inking and added a twine bow to her hair. The shell and nest were also cut from CAC. I embossed the shell with the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug Folder and inked the edges of the nest and did some pen work on it. I also did a stitching line around the outside of the mat, added some twine, and stamped the sentiment which is from Whimsical Designs Everyday Sentiments set.
I hope you all liked my card and thanks for looking! Have a wonderful St. Pat's day and weekend!

Happy Bird

Happy Friday everyone! I have a card to show you today that I did for a couple of challenges.
I printed and cut this card using my Imagine and CCR. The patterns and colors are from the Imagine Blossom cart. This is my new FAVORITE way to create cards! One sheet of white cardstock, one time cutting, and that's it!
The scallop circle and mats were cut using Cricut Craft Room Basics and I stamped the white inner piece with a stamp from Heart Elements Nestability stamp set. The bird and flowered branch was cut from Straight From The Nest and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Cornies face stamp. For the branch I cut 2 and trimmed down the one side to fit around the mat. I also added a rectangle piece to the bottom one to extend it out the width of the card. I colored the centers of the flowers with a white pen and used hole punches for the berries. The butterfly was cut from Indie Art and I embossed the background with Stylized Flowers Cuttlebug folder. To finish I stamped the sentiment which is from Whimsical Designs Whimsical Fun Vol. 1.
I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Whimsical Wednesdays "Getting Sketchy" Challenge

Hello everyone! It's time for a new Whimsical Wednesday challenge! This time the challenge is to follow the sketch to create a card. Our own Nanne created this fabulous sketch this week!
I decided to do a St. Patrick's Day card since that is just around the corner. Plus I couldn't get this cute leprechaun with that oh so funny face out of my head! I just had to make it.... LOL!
I followed the sketch and printed and cut the leprechaun from Simply Charmed using my Imagine and CCR. I did some inking and stamped the face with Peachy Keen's Happy New Year Assortment. I gave him green bubbles because he's been drinking some green beer! LOL! Some of the pattern paper is cut printed from the Blossom cart and the poka dot's I stamped. The shamrocks were cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and I stamped the face with the same PK set. To finish I did some doodling on the cuts and stamped the sentiment which is from Whimsical Designs Whimsical Fun Vol. 1.
I hope you all will play along this week and don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created. Have a great day and thanks for looking!

"Time Flies" Whimsical Wednesday Challenge

Hello everyone! It's Wednesday which means a new Whimsical Wednesday challenge. This time the challenge is "Time Flies". Create a card or project and you must include either something with wings or a clock.
I have been playing in CCR again! LOL! I am having a ball creating these cute cuts with no other cartridge except for George and Basic Shapes. I made the bee using various shapes and welding them together. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Cornies face stamp and embossed the wings with the Mesh Texture embossing folder. The cloud I cut by hand and did some chalking and stitched line with a colored pencil. The face was also stamped with a Cornies face stamp and I pop dotted the middle part for some dimention. The grass is just a strip of paper that I fringed with scissors and added a ribbon to. The papers I used were printed form my Imagine using the Blossom cartridge. To finish I stamped the sentiment and added a dotted line. The stamp is from Whimsical Designs Whimsical Fun Vol. 1. set.
I hope you all will play along this week and don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created. We have some new girls on the DT, so there will be plenty of inspiration for you all! Have a great day and thanks for looking!

Peachy Keen Friends Challenge

Hello everyone! Here is the card that I made to enter into Peachy Keen's Friends card challenge this week. I LOVE my PK faces and can't pass up the chance to play with them! :)
I printed and cut the owl's from Paisley using Imagine Blossom for the pattern papers. I stamped the eyes with Peachy Keens Critter Faces and the beaks were stamped and cut out from Peachy Keens Everyday Character Face Parts. I inked all the edges and added bling centers to the flowers. I also added bling to the corners of the card and did a stitching line around the upper part of the card with a colored pencil. For the bottom half of the card I cut 1/2 strips of paper and cut V's into them. I then lined them up across the card and added a ribbon. The sentiment was stamped from Whimsical Designs Whimsical Fun Vol. 1.
I hope you all are having a wonderful day and thanks for looking!
