This Day I Will Marry My Friend

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This week the challenge is "Wedding" Create a project or card with a wedding theme.
I made this wedding card for my project. This card turned out so pretty!
I cut the wedding couple and fancy frame from Potpourri Basket. I added some Viva Decor Pearl accents to the frame and the brides wedding dress.
The flower was cut from Mothers Day Bouquet and I added a gem sticker to the center. Isn't that sticker gorgeous in the center of that flower?
To finish, I stamped the sentiment using My Craft Spot's Happily Ever After stamp set.
I hope you will all play along and please don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's projects!
Have a great day!

Hello everyone! Did you get to the Peachy Keen Release Party tonight? What fabulous inspiration from all of the DT and HOW CUTE are these new stamps???
I have a couple of cards to share with you that I made for the Release Party challenges. Even if you didn't make it to the party, you can still play along for a chance at a Peachy Keen Gift Certificate.

My first card is for the release party challenge that I am hosting. You can created any project, but include a sun on it.
I created the card base using Birthday Bash and I welded a cloud from Create A Critter to the bottom before I cut it out. The sun is from Everyday Paper Dolls and I stamped it with that ADORABLE face using the new PK June SOTM kit. The sand castle is also from the SOTM kit and I added it to the cloud with a banner. The sentiment is also from the June SOTM kit.

For the second challenge, you're to create a 1-2-3 card. 1 stamped image, 2 pattern paper, and 3 embellishments hosted my my DT sister Amy.
I stamped the Hula girl from the new Rock A Hula add on set and colored her with Copic markers. The flower is cut from Mother Day Bouquet and I added some stickles to the edges of the flower. I also added some to the top banner and to the flowers on the hula girl. I added some gems to the center of the flower and also to the flower in her hair. To finished I stamped the sentiment from the Rock A Hula stamp set.

I hope you all will play along in the challenges which can be found at The Peachy Keen Connection.
You can also buy all these stamps NOW at Peachy Keen!

Hi There

Hello everyone and Happy Monday!.....if there is such a thing! LOL!
It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Flowers". Create a project using at least one flower.
I made this card for my project today. I want Spring to come so bad, that I think I'm channeling that into my card making!
This is a pretty simple card to make. I started by cutting layers for the flower and leaves from Mother's Day Bouquet. I layered them together and curled up the edges to give it some dimension. I hand cut a simple strip for the stem and added the leaves to the side. After my flower was on my mat, I used a hole punch and punched holes on both sides at the bottom to thread the ribbon through. I tied a bow and added the tag I made using My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags and stamped the sentiment from MCS's Inside and Out Set #2. I attached the tag using some green twine and a bow.
I hope you all will play along and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created. Have a great day!

Plant Smiles

Good morning everyone! Today I have a card to show you that I did for Peachy Keen's challenge. This week it's Anything Goes!
I cut the watering can and shovel from Everyday Paper Dolls. I added a handle to the watering can by cutting a strip of paper and folding it in half at an angle. Then I inked the edges, rounded the corner, and added it to the top. The flower was cut from Mothers Day Bouquet and the stem from Walk In My garden. I stamped both faces with a PK face stamp and added some twine with the tags to the corner. Those sentiment worked PERFECTLY with this card...I just LOVE it!
SUPPLIES:
My Craft Spot- Happy Fall Stamp Set and Peapod Twinery Twine
Peachy Keen- Cherub Face Assortment and Happy Lashes
Cricut- Everyday Paper Dolls, Mothers Day Bouquet, and Walk In My Garden

Wishing You A Beautiful Day!

Hello everyone! Here is a card that I made for a couple of challenges. I LOVE how cute the flower turned out! Hee Hee!
I started by stamping the background with the PK Clouds Background. ( I REALLY love this cloud stamp!) I cut the flower petal layers from Mother's Day Bouquet and hand cut the stem and leaves. For the center of the flower I used my I-Top and covered a brad in yellow paper and then stamped the face which is from the PK Happy Lashes set. I folded out the top layer of petals to give it lots of dimension. The sign was cut from Freshly Picked and the grass from Create A Critter. I added a ribbon and stamped the sentiment which is from Whimsical Designs Whimsical Fun Vol.1.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. EAD Color Designs- Color Challenge
2. Die Cuttin Diva's- Gardens
3. Little Scrap Pieces- Use a Flower

Patchwork Bee Card

Hello everyone! Here is a card with matching envelope that I made. I learned a new trick and I will share it with you!
When I decided that I wanted to make this card using the bee from Create A Critter, I thought....4 bee's at 1.5 inches....that's a lot of little pieces. So I tried something in CCR and it worked! I added all the pieces for the bee to my mat and filled them with colors from Lori's Garden. I made a copy of the wings and the head/belly piece and had to hide one wing on one cut and the opposite on the other copy so I could layer them. Otherwise you have the set of wings, but they don't match up. I then layered all the pieces in the order that they go and clicked the Don't Weld button for each piece. This way I ended up with a fully colored bee without having to cut all the layer's separately. I also hid the face so I could stamp those cute PK faces on them. Here is what it looked like after I printed them only, no cutting.
The only downfall to this technique is that you can't cut them. I tried and it will cut each piece out so you're left with a mess! LOL! But if you're looking to put something like this on a white background, it's a great trick! Ok, now I'll explain how I made the card and envelope....sorry this is such a long post!
I printed the bee's from Create A Critter and stamped the faces with Peachy Keen's Cornies faces. The frames were cut from Accent Essentials and I cut an extra one for a template. With the template frame, I lined it up over the bee where I wanted it and traced it. I then cut the bee into a square 1/8 inch smaller than the frame and glued the frame to the bee square. The flowers were cut from Mother's Day Bouquet and I added brads to the centers. For the center one I stamped the sentiment. I made the matching envelope using a framed bee, a decorative strip of paper which I added a punched border to.
I hope you all understand my directions for doing this technique. Essentially you are just printing your otherwise cut image. I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. Die Cuttin Diva's- Sketch
2. The Paper Variety- Card with matching envelope. Envelope must include 2 different elements.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

"Bringing Out The Old" Whimsical Wednesday Challenge

Hello everyone! It's Wednesday which means a new Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. This week the challenge is "Bringing Out The Old". Create a Scrapbook LO or Card/Project of any theme but you must use something that you have not used in a long time, or might not have used at all since you purchased it. This can include anything used for crafting whether it is a tool, cartridge, paper, or embellishment.
For my something old I used my I-Top. I have not used it in a LONG time and it was something that I thought I would use ALL the time. Goes to show!
This was a super quick card! I stamped this cute girl and her turtle which is from Peachy Keens Vivienne and Friends stamp set. I colored it with a combinations of Copics, colored pencils, and chalk. I printed the background paper using my Imagine and Mr. Frosty and sewed around the picture with my sewing machine. For the sun I cut two of the flowers from Mother's Day Bouquet and layered them together. For the center of the sun I used my I-Top to cover a brad and sprayed the whole thing with Pearl Mist to give it some shimmer. To finish I tied a bow and stamped the sentiment which is from Whimsical Designs Whimsical Fun Vol. 1 stamp set.
I hope you all will play along this week and don't forget to check out what the rest of the amazing DT has created! Have a great day!
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:

2. Peachy Keens Peachy Challenge- Photo Inspiration

Pocket Full Of Flowers

Hello everyone! I have a super cute card to show you today that I did for Peachy Keens Peachy Challenge. This week the challenge is POCKETS.
I know that I have been using this face set alot, but I can't help it! They are SO DARN CUTE! So I hope you all don't get sick of seeing them...LOL!
All the flowers were cut from Mothers Day Bouquet and I stamped the faces using the Cornies face assortment. The pocket I cut by hand and did a faux stitching line around it. I also added brads to the corners as well as the corners of the card. All of the sentiments are from Whimsical Designs. I stamped the Woo Hoo sentiment, matted it, and added it as a tag to the side of the pocket. I stamped the main sentiment and used a corner rounder on the corners. The tag I also cut buy hand and used a corner rounder on the corners. I added a circle tab to the top of the tag which I added an eyelet and twine to and stamped the sentiments.
I hope you all like my card as much as I do! Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!
Just wanted to mention that there is a new challenge blog launching on February 14! Go check it out HERE!
