You're Snow Wonderful

Hello everyone! I wanted to share this card I made with you. I had a "snow day" and decided to play with my Imagine! It is SO poorly neglected, but at least I have fun when I do get to play with it!
I have seen my great friend Cindy at Cindy's Scraptastic Designs use this background for projects and always thought it was so cool, so I decided to try one myself.

I printed the background at 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 using my Imagine and Snow Angel. I trimmed it down to the size of my card and added some punched snowflakes and pearl dots for the snow. The deer was cut from Campin Critters at 3 inches and I stamped the eyes with Peachy Keen's Cornies face stamps. I made the sentiment doily using My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies Dies and stamped the sentiment with MCS's Think Snow stamp set.

I hope you all like my card and please come back on Saturday when I will have a SNEAK PEEK of the NEW Peachy Keen stamps being released this Tuesday! The sneak peeks will start on Friday and you can see them at the Peachy Keen blog. Have a great day!

I am going to enter this into the Whimsical Wednesday Winter Wonderland Challenge.

Scarecrow Sign

Hello everyone! I don't know why I'm in the mood for fall, but I am. I find myself making Halloween and Fall themed projects! So here is the card I have to show you today.
I created this card using several Cricut carts and the Build A Scarecrow stamp set from Peachy Keen. I stamped and colored the Scarecrow and the birds. I gave this card lots of dimension by using lots of pop dots. I pop dotted the hands to the sign, the head, and double pop dotted the bird to the hat. The corn was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and the grass from Create A Critter. I gave the corn lots of texture by dotting white and brown for the corn and inking all the edges and I pop dotted the middle piece of grass. The sign was cut from Campin Critters and I stamped the sentiment from My Craft Spot's Happy Fall Stamp set. To finish I did a white stitching line around the card and added some twine to the sign.
I am going to enter this into Peachy Keen's challenge this week which is: "Just Cards: Popped Up"
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

"Under The Stars" Easel Card

Hello everyone! It's Monday which means a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Under The Stars" Create a project using a camping theme.
I made this super fun easel card! I think this turned out just awesome!....sorry, don't mean to toot my own horn...LOL!
All of the cuts are from Campin Critters. I did lots of inking and added the eyes to the characters using Peachy Keen face stamps. I added a "Beware" sign to the tree using the sentiment from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting's set. The grass I cut by hand and stamped the sentiment from Inside and Out Set #2. To finish I added some brads and some twine for the closure on the tent.
I hope you all will play along this week and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT had created. Have a great day!

Back To School With Hello Kitty

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Whimsical Wednesday's! This time the challenge is Back To School...NO cards.  Our talented designer Faith came up with this fantastic challenge.
First I have to say that I had SO much fun making this cute little set! This backpack was actually very easy to make. I cut the backpack from Camping Critters at 10 1/2 inches. I didn't want the sleeping bag roll so I simply omitted those cuts. I used my sewing machine and did a stitching line down the straps and around the flaps on the pockets. I cut Hello Kitty at 2 inches from Hello Kitty Greetings. After it was all assembled I decided I wanted a stitching line around the flap too so I did that with a white gel pen. This backpack holds a box of crayons perfectly!
For the pen box I used a pattern that can be found HERE. I originally wanted to make a pencil box but this pattern wasn't tall enough to hold pencils. I estimated approximately where I would need a window cut out for my box and cut the rectangle using George and Basic Shapes. I then lined up my pattern over the cut out for perfect alignment and cut out the box. I added a piece of acetate to the window and assembled the box. I modified the closure flap a little and added a border punched strip to it and the background of the decorative strip. I cut Hello Kitty again but this time at 1.5 inches.
I hope you all enjoyed seeing my projects and will play along this week! I can't wait to see what you will create! And don't forget to check out what the other fabulous designers have created this week!Have a great day!

Eat Cake Bear Card

Hello everyone! This is the card that I made to enter into Tattered Time's CCCC and Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday challenges. Both challenges require that you use Camping Critters. I thought this would make a great guy birthday card!
I made the card base by welding 2 postage stamps together in my Gypsy from Create A Critter. The bear was cut at 3.5 inches from Camping Critters. I used a white gel pen to highlight his eyes and napkin. I also used a marker and colored his nose black. The cake was cut from Simply Charmed at 2 inches and I omitted the face. To finish my card I tied the ribbon, stamped the sentiment, and added a white stitching line around the outside of the card. I hope you all are having a great day and thanks for looking!

Fathers Day Gable Box

Hello everyone! Here is a gable box that I made for Fathers Day. I got the pattern for the gable box HERE. It prints the entire size of a 8 1/2 X 11 and is perfectly straight. An awesome pattern. I cut the window using Accent Essentials and my center point button on my Expression and also cut the matching frame. The bear badge was cut from Camping Critters at 1.5 inches. The sentiment I printed off the computer and I tied a crinkle ribbon bow ( From My Craft Spot) and attatched it with a metal brad. I think this turned out so cute and am very happy with the end results. Now I have to make 2 more! :)

I am going to enter this into the following challenges:

1. My Craft Spot- We Love You Dad!

2. More That Favors- CCCC Accent Essentials

3. Crazy About Cricut- Man/Boy Theme

Funny Father's Day Card

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Whimsical Wednesdays! This week the challenge is Fathers Day. I think this card is so funny and I made it with my Dad in mind so it makes it more funny for me so you'll have to bear with me! :)

For the card base, I used a card from Smiley Cards cut at 10 inches high and 1/4 inch smaller for the card mat. The skunk was cut from Camping Critters at 3.5 inches and I stamped the sentiment which is from Scrappy Mom's Furry Friends set. The "Dad" was also stamped from a set from Michaels. For the inside of the card I printed the (but don't forget to spray) off my computer and stamped the Happy Fathers Day. The frog I cut at 2 inches and omitted the flies in that cut. Hopefully some of you will think this is kind of funny because when I showed it to my 18 year old son, he looked at me like I fell of my rocker!

This week our sponsor is Joy from Joy's Life! One random winner will win the stamp set called Your So Punny. Clich here to visit Joy's product page. Thanks Joy!

I sure hope that you will give this challenge a try and I can't wait to see what you'll create! Have a great day!

Camping Critters Layout

Happy Easter everyone! Here is a layout that I did using the new Camping Critters cart. I just love the images on this cart. They are so different than almost every other cart so it makes them so fun to play with! :) The title was cut at 1.5 inches from Robots and the rest was done using Campin Critters. I cut the deer at 4.5 inches, the fox at 3 inches, and the squirrel and owl at 2 inches. The sign was cut at 3 inches and the photo mats were cut at 3 inches. The background paper is from Recollections. I hope you all like my camping layout! Now I just have to go camping to fill in the pictures. LOL! Have a great day!

S'More?

Good afternoon everyone! I have a funny card that I made for Getting Cricky's Simple Sunday Challenge. The challenge is to make a camping project. When I think of camping, I think of S'mores! So when I saw this cut on Campin Critters I knew this was what I was going to do. The background I embossed with Swiss Dots and inked white over the embossing to make it look like stars. I cut the porcupine at 3 inches and highlighted him with a black and white pen. The campfire is from one of the badge cuts that I cut on real dial size at 1.5 inches. I pop dotted the campfire and sentiment which was printed off my computer. I hope you all like my funny card and have a great day!

So Saturday Challenge #7

Good morning everyone! Here is the card that I made for Card Creations and More By C's So Saturday challenge. The challenge this week is anything spring related.

I am SO SO SO excited that I FINALLY got the Campin Critters cart! I have wanted this cart ever since I saw it and to top it off I got it at Michaels yesterday for only $34.95! So I couldn't wait to cut something out of it and this is what I came up with. I cut the frog from Campin Critters at 3 inches. I cut out 2 butterflies and folded the wing up to make them look 3D. I cut the frame for the sentiment from Once Upon A Princess custom sized in my Gypsy and stamped the sentiment. To finish I pop dotted the frog and frame and added the bow. I hope you all are having a great day!
