Get Well Eeore

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge at Whimsical Wednesdays! This week the theme is going to be Get Well with a certain little boy named Angelo in mind. This week both card teams have come together for our challenge to make get well cards for a very special little boy. Angelo, 15 months old, who is the grandson of Margie from Bella Bug Creations, is going through a very difficult time right now. He underwent brain surgery last week and will begin Chemotherapy next week. You can read more about Angelo at this post over at Margie's blog. We hope that you will all join us this week and make a card for Angelo too.
I decided that this is a card for a baby in retrospect and so I didn't want alot of frills and kept it simple. I also wanted something that he might recognize and most kids know who Eeore is. I cut Eeore from Pooh Font at 4 inches. I used Glossy Accents on the ball and stamped the sentiment. I also used a black pen and did a stitching line around the mat and added a bow. I hope you all like my card and will play along this week. I can't wait to see what you'll create!

Hello everyone! It's time for another challenge at Whimsical Wednesdays! This time the challenge theme is Patrioric and must include 1 of the following: Buttons, Bling, or Brads. The stars were cut from George at 1.5 inches and 3/4 inch. I added a star brad to the center of the big star, stamped the "happy", added bling to the 4 and tied ribbons to the bottom.

For my cell phone skin I printed and cut the flag at 2.5 inches from Independence Day using my Imagine and Cricut Printable Vinyl. I assembled all the pieces and cut out the pattern that I made from my cell phone. To finish I added gems to the stars.

I made up a name for my cute little tote...Tip Top Toenail Tote! HEE HEE! One of my favorite things about summer is showing off my painted toenails and flip flops! So this is what I made for my project.

I cut the tote at fit to page from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More and tore a piece of kraft paper for the sand after I printed the sentiment off my computer. The sun was printed and cut at 1.5 inches from Imagine More and I mounted it with pop dots. The tag I made using Doodlecharms cut at 2.5 inches and the mats were cut at 2.25 and 2. The flip flops were cut from Car Decals at 2 inches. I attatched the tag to a piece of twine and tied it around the bag. To finish I added the toenail goodies. I hope you liked my project and will play along this week at CTO! I can't wait to see what you'll create! Have fun!

Funny Father's Day Card

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Whimsical Wednesdays! This week the challenge is Fathers Day. I think this card is so funny and I made it with my Dad in mind so it makes it more funny for me so you'll have to bear with me! :)

For the card base, I used a card from Smiley Cards cut at 10 inches high and 1/4 inch smaller for the card mat. The skunk was cut from Camping Critters at 3.5 inches and I stamped the sentiment which is from Scrappy Mom's Furry Friends set. The "Dad" was also stamped from a set from Michaels. For the inside of the card I printed the (but don't forget to spray) off my computer and stamped the Happy Fathers Day. The frog I cut at 2 inches and omitted the flies in that cut. Hopefully some of you will think this is kind of funny because when I showed it to my 18 year old son, he looked at me like I fell of my rocker!

Celebrate The Occasion Fathers Day Card

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Celebrate The Occasion! This week the challenge is Fathers Day. I just got Car Decals and knew that I wanted to cut this cool golf cart out. I cut the golf cart at 2.5 inches in 3 layers. A black, white, and gray. I then trimmed around each piece until it layered the way I wanted. The golfer was also cut at 2.5 inches. I used my Gypsy to hide all the cuts on him so I just had a blackout and cut that out of the striped pattern paper. I then cut the black outline and a flesh colored face. For the background I just rounded a piece of green for the hill and to finish I added a bow and stamped the sentiment. I hope you will play along this week at Celebrate The Occasion and I can't wait to see what you'll create! Have a great day!

Bug Bites Bug Hop Challenge

Hello everyone! Here is the card that I made For BugBites Grillin N Chillin Bug Hop Challenge #2. For the challenge you must include a Cricut cut and a hidden bug found on the hop. When I think of summer and "chillin" I think of the beach. So this is the card that I created. I cut the girl from Twinkle Toes at 3.5 inches. I cut her leatard and then trimmed around the arms to get her swimsuit. For the tube I used the tube from the image on pg. 40 of Pack Your Bags. I copied it, flipped the second one and welded them together to get the whole tube. I just then needed to trim off the bottom where the shorts were. I also stamped her face with a Peachy Keen stamp, added glossy Accents to the tube, and penned in her flip flops. The beach scene was cut from Pack Your Bags at approximatley 5 inches that I stretched. I added Glossy Accents to the waves and highlighted them with a white pen. The crab was also cut from PYB's at .5 inches. And finally for my BUG...do you see it? I added a ladybug to the pail. I used a hole punch for the body and drew in the head and spots with a black pen and added Glossy Accents to it. I hope you all are having a great day and thanks for looking!

Fiesta Shower Invitations

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been MIA for awhile. I have been going to baseball games everyday and I am proud to say that my son's baseball team won Regionals and are now headed to Sectionals! And if they win there then they're headed to state! I have also been working on these invitations for my sisters bridal shower. I did a pocket card and a sombrero pull on the inside. I didn't have a sombrero cut in any of my carts so I made this one using the sailor hat and pilgrim hat from Paper Doll Dress Up. I then cut all the strips and triangles by hand and glued them to the hat. The font is from Robots. I hope to get some projects finished soon and will post them later. I hope you all are having a great day!
