Celebrate The Occasion Launch

I have a secret that I can finally tell you all! I am on the Design Team for a new challenge blog called Celebrate The Occasion and this is my first DT project! This new challenge blog is a weekly challenge that has to do with any kind of celebration. For this challenge it is Anything Goes Birthday. You can create anything that you like with any supplies that you want... Cricut, stamping, anything. I hope you all will check it out because I think it will be LOTS of FUN!

For my project I chose to do a pocket card. This is the first one I have ever done and it was alot of fun to create. I started with a 4 1/8 X 11 inch piece of cardstock folded in half. Then I unfolded the paper and cut 1 inch off one side...it doesn't matter which side and I kept that piece to use later. Fold back open and glue along the outside edges, fold back together, and you have a pocket. For the inside I welded the 4 inch mouse in the box from Birthday Bash to a 3.5 X 4.5 inch rectangle from George. I cut all the layers at 4 inches except the box layer for the mouse which I didn't use. I then cut a white piece for the inside card and stamped the Happy Birthday. To finish the card I added a piece of poka dot paper with ribbon wrapped around each side and tied a tag with a stamped sentiment around the ribbon. I also added that 1 inch strip of paper to the top ot the pocket with pop dots.
