Gobble Gobble Wreath

Hello everyone! I wanted to share the project that I made for the Peachy Keen challenge this week. This week the challenge is 3D Wall Art. I just had to use that turkey....he's so cute! LOL!
I started with a small grapevine wreath and wound ribbon around it. I stamped and colored the corn with Copic markers and paper pieced the turkey. I omitted the baster that he's holding and added that fun sign that was stamped with My Craft Spot's Happy Fall stamp set.
Now I have a fun wall hanging for Thanksgiving! Thanks for looking and have a great day!

I also added some Peapod Twinery Twine to her hat and stamped the little spider on to her bag which is from My Craft Spot's Stampin' Around Fall stamp set. The kitty was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen stamp. I tied a ribbon to the bottom and stamped the sentiment.

Lil' Packer Birthday Invitation

Hello everyone and happy Friday! Today I wanted to share with you the invitation I made for my Nephew's 1st Birthday Party. We are in "Packer Country" here, so the Green Bay Packers was the theme my SIL wanted for the invites and this is what I came up with. Incidentally, she LOVED them.
The ticket stub I designed and print from my computer. The background of the card I used a white gel pen and drew in the lines and #'s for the filed. The boy is a combination of the football player in Paper Doll Dress Up and the football boy from Playtime. I custom sized the hair and helmet from the FB player in PDDU to fit the head for the football boy in Playtime. As you can tell, I also did some other customizations, like the stripes on the shirt and helmet. To give this boy lots of character, I stamped the faces with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids face stamp.
I hope you all have a great weekend and thanks for stopping in!
ALSO, DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE STAMP RELEASE PARTY COMING UP AT MY CRAFT SPOT!

Give Thanks

Hello everyone! I have a quick card to share today. I can't believe that it's almost November already! Where does the time go?
I cut the squirrel and fancy mats from Create A Critter. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen face stamp and did a stitching line around the inside mat. I added a strip of burlap to the side and tied some Cherry Red Vintage twine around it. I stamped the sentiment, matted it, and attached it to the card using brads.
I hope you all like my card and thanks for stopping in today!

You're Monsterrific!

Good morning everyone! It's Monday which means a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This week the challenge is "Little Monsters" Use a monster in your project.
I went a little doodle crazy on this one! But I think it turned out pretty cute.
Using my Gypsy I created the card base using 2 frames from Elegant Edges and welded them together. I cut the mat from Elegant Edges and did a black stitching line around it. The monster was cut from Mini Monsters and I used white pen, black pen, Copic Markers, and stickles to dress him up. The eyes were stamped using a Peachy Keen face. To finish I stamped that fun sentiment which is from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting set.
I hope you will all play along this week and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created. Have a great day!

'Tis Near Halloween

Hello everyone and Happy Friday! I had some time to play in my craft room this afternoon and when I saw the new challenge at Peachy Keen, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
The challenge this week is "Just Cards:: Word Up. Make a card with the main focus on the wording.
I just LOVE this sentiment stamp from My Craft Spot's Spooky Treats stamp set! It's so fun and spooky at the same time! LOL! So of course I had to use it!
I punched a circle for the moon and stamped the witch onto it. I also did some inking and distressed the edges. I cut a white mat and stamped the haunted house and sentiment. I distressed the edges and used my sewing machine to sew around the mat. When it was finished, I took some distress ink and inked over the white to give it a dirty look. I distressed the outside edges of the mat as well and mounted the moon onto a pop dot. BTW, I don't own a fancy distress tool. I used a pair of scissors and ran it across the edges. I think it turned out pretty cool!
Before I say good bye, I wanted to let you all know about the new stamp release party coming up at My Craft Spot! If you go to THIS post at My Craft Spot and post the stamp release button on your blog, you could win a stamp set!

I hope you will join us for all the fun during the release week!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Be Spooky!

Hello everyone and happy Monday! There is a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Embossing" include wet or dry embossing on your project.
My card this week is Cricut free....EEK! LOL! I created this card with only my Cuttlebug.
I embossed the background with the Boo To You cuttlebug folder and also the kitty in the center piece. After I embossed the kitty, I used My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies Dies to cut out the perfect circle around the embossing. I then wet embossed the raised parts of the kitty and added clear embossing powder. After it was embossed I inked the black in the recessed areas creating this look.  I mounted the kitty circle to another one of the Tiny Doilies Dies and then on top of a rosette. The ribbon back I created by cutting a 2 inch circle and put ATG glue around the edges. Then I cut strips of ribbon,  the black ones I folded in half and the green ones I snipped tails into. I stamped the sentiment onto a tag and added it to the side. I also finished the inside of the card with a stamped sentiment and a matching paper strip.
I hope you will all play along this week and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! Have a great day!

Tomb It May Concern

Hello everyone! I have a card to share with you that I did for a couple of challenges.
1. Simply Crafts- Use bat from Create A Critter 2
2. Little Scrap Pieces- Any Halloween project
3. Paper Playtime- Trick Or Treat + Die cut or Punch
I cut the card base and mat layer at 5 inches from Birthday Bash. The bat, moon, fence, and tomb were cut from Create A Critter 2. I added a second layer pop dotted to the bat and decided to stamp his face with a FUN face, as apposed to a scary one. I think it's cute as can be! LOL! The grass was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and I also pop dotted it. I inked the tomb and stamped the sentiment which is from My Craft Spot's Best Witches To You stamp set.
Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!

Surprise Kitty In Pumpkin Tutorial

Hello everyone! Well as promised, here is the tutorial for the Surprise Kitty In Pumpkin. If you did not see the original post, you can see it HERE
First I will give you a list of the cuts and sizes:
All cuts are from Create A Critter 2
1. Kitty cut at 2 inches- stamp face with PK face (optional)
2. Pumpkin cut at 3 inches
3. Fence cut at 4.5 inches
4. Grass cut at 2 inches X 2
5. Clouds and moon cut at 3.5 inches

Now you will need to cut the center piece out of fence, the top of the base piece of the pumpkin, and the kitties legs/tail. You will also need to punch a small hole in center bottom of kitty for brad placement. Use above picture as reference.

To create the card front you will need to cut a 4 X 51/4 inch piece of paper and using a circle punch, punch a semi-circle in the top. This will allow for the tag pull. You will also need to cut an 1/8 wide slit from the center bottom up 1 inch to 2 1/8 inch.
The tag is cut at 3 X 4 1/2 and you will need to punch a small hole in the center 1/4 inch up from bottom center. Use above picture as reference.
The back of the card front
To assemble these pieces you will need a 1/2 X 7 inch strip of lightweight paper for the support band seen in picture above. I used a piece of printer paper. You will fold it loosely around the tag and glue closed. Glue this piece to the center back making sure it is positioned below punched semi-circle. Slide the tag into the support strip and add a brad through the punched hole and slit.
Turn card around and thread brad through kitty cut and secure brad closed. Stamp sentiment onto tag and add an eyelet to tag and thread ribbon through for the pull. Glue your card front to a standard A2 sized card ( 4 1/4 X 5 1/2) gluing only along sides and bottom. Make sure to leave top open. I also made sure to glue 1/4 inch outside along the edges of slit to just to reinforce it from ripping. Now your ready to decorate!

I started with the fence and you will have to slide it under the kitties head. Then I added the pumpkin gluing only the bottom and about 1/3 way up sides with the kitties head in the down position. This will ensure they will line up. Then I added the rest of the pieces and stamped the sentiment on the front!

I hope you all understand my tutorial and if you have any questions, please ask! Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

Spooky Pull Up Treat Holders

Hello everyone! It's Monday which means a new challenge at My Craft Spot!
This week the challenge is "A Treat For You" something to go with the gift of food.
I made these pull up treat holders. I have had this idea for a long time and decided to finally make them. They are so much fun! When you pull on the bow, the treat comes sliding up on a tag. They are based off of the Hershey bar pull up treat holders, but smaller. You can see a great video tutorial HERE. I will also give you the measurements of the smaller ones I did.
I cut my base 4 X 9 and scored it at 3 and 6 inches. Fold over each side and glue sides including the bottom. The tag is cut at 3 3/4 X 2 7/8. Measure enough ribbon to go around the entire tag and more to tie a bow. I simply used my ATG tape to secure the treats to the tag.
The fronts were decorated with the following:
The Pumpkin: I used the face from one of the pumpkins in Mini Monsters and did a black faux stitching line around the outside.
The Bat: I added large google eyes, drew the mouth with a white pen, hand cut triangles for the teeth and the bat wings are from the bat in Simply charmed that I glued to the back.
The Mummy: The is just strips of paper that I inked and also added large google eyes.
All of my treat holders I added stamped sentiment tags to using My Craft Spot's Ghostly Greetings stamp set.
I hope you will all play along and please don't forget to check out the rest of the great projects!
Have a great day!
