Whimsical Wednesdays "Getting Sketchy" Challenge

Hello everyone! It's time for a new Whimsical Wednesday challenge! This time the challenge is to follow the sketch to create a card. Our own Nanne created this fabulous sketch this week!
I decided to do a St. Patrick's Day card since that is just around the corner. Plus I couldn't get this cute leprechaun with that oh so funny face out of my head! I just had to make it.... LOL!
I followed the sketch and printed and cut the leprechaun from Simply Charmed using my Imagine and CCR. I did some inking and stamped the face with Peachy Keen's Happy New Year Assortment. I gave him green bubbles because he's been drinking some green beer! LOL! Some of the pattern paper is cut printed from the Blossom cart and the poka dot's I stamped. The shamrocks were cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and I stamped the face with the same PK set. To finish I did some doodling on the cuts and stamped the sentiment which is from Whimsical Designs Whimsical Fun Vol. 1.
I hope you all will play along this week and don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created. Have a great day and thanks for looking!
I am going to enter this into a couple of challenges:
My Craft Spots Monday challenge which is " Make Us Laugh"
Krafty Girls - St. Patricks Day Theme
Little Scrap Pieces- Use green

I cut the dog from Four Legged Friends and inked all the edges of the cuts. The face was stamped from Peachy Keen's Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed face stamps and the sentiment is from Mr. Cricut Crazy's Razzel set. The paper I used is from the Recollections Bold Basics stack. "Time Flies" Whimsical Wednesday Challenge

Hello everyone! It's Wednesday which means a new Whimsical Wednesday challenge. This time the challenge is "Time Flies". Create a card or project and you must include either something with wings or a clock.
I have been playing in CCR again! LOL! I am having a ball creating these cute cuts with no other cartridge except for George and Basic Shapes. I made the bee using various shapes and welding them together. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Cornies face stamp and embossed the wings with the Mesh Texture embossing folder. The cloud I cut by hand and did some chalking and stitched line with a colored pencil. The face was also stamped with a Cornies face stamp and I pop dotted the middle part for some dimention. The grass is just a strip of paper that I fringed with scissors and added a ribbon to. The papers I used were printed form my Imagine using the Blossom cartridge. To finish I stamped the sentiment and added a dotted line. The stamp is from Whimsical Designs Whimsical Fun Vol. 1. set.
I hope you all will play along this week and don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created. We have some new girls on the DT, so there will be plenty of inspiration for you all! Have a great day and thanks for looking!

Sweet Friend Gift Bag

Hello everyone! I have a gift bag to show you all today that I made for my SIL. She is not only my SIL, but my very best friend!
I made a Box In A Bag...I know, it sounds funny but thats really what it's called. I found a tutorial HERE if you would like to make one yourself. I absolutely LOVE how this bag turned out! And I am VERY disappointed that my pictures do not show it's true colors! No matter what I did, it just wouldn't play nice when I was photographing it. LOL! It is alot pinker in person.
After I made the bag I added a punched border strip to the bottom and added brown crinkle ribbon over the top. The flourish was cut from Sweethearts. I didn't use the whole cut, just the flourish part. I used a Viva Decor pearl pen and added all the dots to the flourish. I also added pearl brads around it instead of the hearts. The sentiment tag was made using Fiskars punches and I also used the Viva pearl pen for the dots and on the hearts. The sentiment was stamped from Whimsical Designs Everyday Sentiments. To finish I added the handles which are wire edged ribbon and added bigger pearl brads.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. My Craft Spot's Monday challenge: Girly Girl Projects
2. RRRR- Pink and Brown with ribbon

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess!

Hello everyone! Did you know that on March 2nd it would've been Dr. Seuss's 108th BIRTHDAY!!!! 108! I was amazed when I heard that! My all time favorite book of his is Green Eggs and Ham. I used to read that to my son EVERY DAY! I can still almost recite the entire book from memory after all these years.....my son will be 19 in June! So when I saw the challenge at Twineology I knew I wanted to create something.
I made this card for Twineology's Dr. Seuss's Brithday/ Read Across America challenge. The challenge rules are: 1. Dr. Seuss theme  2. Colors- Auqua, Red, and White,  3. Odd shapes  4. A Dr. Suess quote  5. Bonus- bling  6. Timeless Twine, if you don't own any you can use embroidery floss.
I found the Dr. Seuss image online and printed it and hand cut the odd shaped mats. I added some stickles to his hat and bow and Glossy Accents to the dots. The quote and hat in hand image are from some stickers that I got years ago for scrapbooking our Universal trip. I stuck them to white paper, trimmed around them and added red mats. For the side of the card I used my Sew Easy and embroidery floss to sew the design. I added a button with more embroidery floss and red bling.
I hope you all liked my card and have a wonderful day!

"Colors Of Love" Whimsical Wednesday Challenge

Hello everyone! It's time for a new Whimsical Wednesday challenge! This time the challenge is "The Colors Of Love". Create any card or project and include the colors Red, White, and a third color of your choice.
I made these cute Valentine treat bags. I used a Bitty bag and made a pull out tag for the inside. I made the decorative tag for the front using a Lacey Cricle nestie die and punched a white circle. I stamped the background with the Stampin Up Dot, Dot, Dot stamp in pink and stamped the heart which is from Whimsical Designs With Love set. The inside tag was cut slightly smaller than the bag and I used corner rounders on the corners. I glued a chocolate bar to the tag and stamped the sentiment with another stamp from Whimsical Designs With Love set.

I hope you all will play along this week and don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! Have a great day and thanks for looking!
I am going to enter this into My Craft Spots Monday challenge. This week the challenge is to make a Valentine card or treat packaging. Thanks to Kimberly for the super cute bitty bags that I won from her!

Recycled Toilet Paper Roll Treat Box

This is how I covered the back end

Hello everyone! Here is a fun project that I did for Peachy Keen's Peachy Challenge this week. The challenge this time is to use a recycled toilet paper roll and this is what I came up with!
I started by cutting the TP roll in half....so you can actually get 2 out of each roll. I then scored the bottom and it made the shape of a mailbox. I traced around the back end and cut out the decorative paper 1/4 inch bigger. I then cut slits in the extra 1/4 inch sides to be able to bend it around the box when I was glueing it on. ( BTW, if you've never worked with a TP roll before, they can be tricky to glue because the have a wax like layer on them!) I also traced around the front end to make the flap which I did by leaving a 1/2 tab at the bottom to glue onto the bottom of the box. After the ends were completed then I added the piece of decorative paper over the main part of the box. The flag I cut by hand and added that super cute envelope which I stamped with a stamp from Whimsical Designs With Love set. I attatched it with a brad and also added brads to the top and front flap to be able to twist twine around to get the closure. I made the TINIEST rosette EVER...LOL....and added the hand cut heart face that I stamped with a Peachy Keen Cornies face.To finish I added a little tag that I stamped with the xoxoxo stamp from Whimsical Designs With Love set.
I hope you all liked my project for the day and thanks for looking! Have a wonderful day!

Monkey Love

Hello everyone! This is the card that I made for the Simply Crafts challenge. This time the challenge is to use the tree from Sweethearts.
Of course I COULD NOT help it but to use the so so cute monkey from the cart too! This cut is my ALL TIME FAVORITE from all the carts that I own! LOL! It's just SO CUTE!
I cut the tree at 4 inches and stamped the pink layer with the X's and O's stamp from Whimsical Designs With Love set to create the "leaves". The monkeys were cut at 1.5 inches and I used a black pen for the faces. I also added eyelashes to the girl monkey and added a twine bow. For the heart leaves at the bottom of the tree I punched them from a heart punch and layered them at the bottom. I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the tree and also added more X's and O's to the side. To finish I added a ribbon. This is the card that I am going to give to my hubby for Valentine's Day! Here is the picture of the stamp set I used. I LOVE the tiny xoxoxo stamp!
I am also going to enter this into the following challenges:
More Than Favors- Wacky Wednesday-LOVE

Cardz TV DT Challenge- "Tickled Pink"- use pink as your primary color
