So Thankful For You!

Hello everyone! I have a super cute card to show you today that I did for Peachy Keen's Anything Goes challenge.
I cut the skunk from Create A Critter and stamped the skunk face using the Sampler Package Of Faces. I decided the trim down the dark gray mat and cut along the forehead of the skunk, following the stamp, to get this look. I added Glossy Accents to the eyes and nose and did lots of inking. The sentiment mat is from a Fiskars punch and I stamped that wonderful sentiment which is from one of the new stamp sets at My Craft Spot called Thank You. To finish I added a stitching line to the sentiment mat, tied a ribbon and added some brads.I hope you all like my card and thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

My Craft Spot "Oh Baby" Challenge

Good morning everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This week the challenge is "Oh Baby".  Cards or gifts for baby.
I made this card using the new stamp set New Arrival which is available at My Craft Spot. All the cuts are from Baby Steps and I matted them onto 1.5 inch squares. I embossed the white strip with Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder. The blue strip was punched with a border punch and I added some twine to a button around the card. To finish I stamped the sentiment....isn't is CUTE? I love these new baby sets. They're so fun and versatile.
I hope you like my card and will play along this week. Please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT had created for your inspiration. Have a great day!

Happy Kids

Good morning everyone! Peachy Keen's challenge is a sketch this week and it's so cute I just had to play along! And it gives me an excuse to play with my July SOTM kit. Here is the sketch:
I flipped the sketch and this is the card that I came up with. The boy and girl were stamped and colored with copics. I am somewhat of a novice when it comes to Copics, so I was pretty happy with the end result. I tried a technique that was really cool. On the girls dress, after I was done coloring it in, I used my colorless blender to do the poka dots on her dress my just dotting it all over. I think it turned out really neat! I used my sewing machine and sewed around the square mat in white. Then I took chalk and colored over the stitching lines in red to get that color. The decorative circle mat was cut from Elegant Edges and the sentiment banner was paper pieced. I stamped the sentiment which is from My Craft Spot's new Tiny Tags 2 set. To finish I added a button with twine and some brads. I hope you all like my card and thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Snowman Box

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Christmas In July". Create a card or box.
I was inspired by THIS adorable box from Lauren's Creative to create my box. It is a super simple project and who wouldn't love to get a present in this?!?! Everything is out of paper, including the bow. I made a simple box and made the bow using THIS tutorial. I cut my strips as follows: 5 strips at 1X6, and 5 strips at 1X5. I also punched holes in the ends and assembled mine with a brad instead of glue dots. I love to do non-traditional colors, they're so much fun! So I used my new Recollections Jolly Holiday paper pad that I bought at Michaels last week. YA! Last week! They have Christmas out already! LOL! The snowman head was made by layering a scallop circle and 2 smaller circles that I cut on my Cricut. Then I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen face and mounted it to the center on 3 pop dots. I hand cut the banner and stamped the sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll play along. Don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! Have a great day!

U R Fabulous!

Hello everyone! I have a fun card to show you today that I did with My Craft Spot's new Tiny Tags 2 and matching Tiny Tags Dies.
I cut the shoe from Slumber Party and dressed it up a bit. I added Glossy Accents to the bumper on the shoe and also to the heart. I wanted my shoe to have shoe laces so I punched holes, added black eyelets, and strung some crinkle ribbon through. If you would like to see a great video on how to do this click HERE. This is My Craft Spot's Witch Shoe Tutorial.  I know I have used this video as reference before, but it really is informative.
I used the Tiny Tag Dies and layered them together, stamped the sentiment from Tiny Tags 2, and added it to the mat with a brad. To finish I added some border punched strips to the sides and some twine to the side with a bow.
I hope you all like my card and thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

I love sun's, so I couldn't pass up this challenge. I cut the sun from Everyday Paper Dolls and a circle for the center. I inked the edges and stamped the face with a PK stamp. The scallop strip was cut from Accent Essentials and I did some stitching lines. To finish I stamped the sentiment and added a bow.

Movie Night Gift Bag

Hello everyone! Here is the gift bag that I created for Peachy Keen's challenge. This week the challenge is "Stamp A Gift Bag" I recycled a Starbucks bag and turned it into this! I thought this would be so much fun to give to a child as a "rewards" bag, or even just a Family Movie night surprise.
I used my Imagine and did my "cheater" method. This means that I layered all the cuts on to one another and printed only. I kept the big popcorn box on the white and then only had to cut out the small popcorn box and the ticket. All the cuts on the bag are from County Fair....don't you just LOVE those faces on the popcorn? LOL! I stamped the faces with the Peachy Keen Cornies faces and did some highlights on the cuts. The scallop top and bottom were cut from Accent Essential. I welded 2 together and hid the dots in the center. I used the NEW Tiny Tags 2 Stamp Set from My Craft Spot to stamp the sentiments on the labels and added the tag with some twine.
Then you have to fill the bag right!?! I put in one of my FAV movie, Walk The Line ( I have a BAD habit of buying LOTS of movies at Christmas time when Wal-mart has them for $2 each, so I ALWAYS have lots of movies still in the plastic)  and some candy and popcorn. OK, maybe my GIGANTIC bag of fresh Kettle Corn that I got from the craft fair this weekend is a little big, but you get the idea! LOL!
I hope you like my fun gift bag and thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Day 4 Of My Craft Spots Release Party

Hello everyone! Day 4 of My Craft Spot's sneak peeks, and only 2 days until the full release and BLOG HOP!!! Are you getting excited yet? Make sure you go over to My Craft Spot everyday this week for a daily prize. And come back on Saturday for the Blog Hop where you could win a new stamp from each blog in the hop!
Today we are giving Sneak Peeks of the Bundle Of Joy stamp set. I have to admit that I actually cried when I read some of these sentiments! My only child is getting ready to head off to college and these stamps really touched my heart. Kimberly had created some beautiful stamps in this release!
For my card I created this beautiful scene. And the sentiment is SO true! There's nothing like holding your baby for the first time and realizing that you LOVE them more than anything else.
I cut the "mom" from Sweethearts. She's the girl being proposed too. I sized her really big so just her upper body would show in the frame. The crook of her arm was the perfect place to put a baby. The baby was cut from Winter Frolic (Baby Jesus). I re-sized him a little wider in my Gypsy and stamped the face. I also covered his whole body in twine to make it look like a baby blanket and added his head over the top. The heart mat and scallop frame I cut by hand so I could custom size it to the stamp. I used a pair of scallop scissors to get the scallops. To finish the front I added a punched border strip and some crinkle ribbon with a bow. The inside I stamped the sentiment and added a matching paper strip.

SUPPLIES:
My Craft Spot- Bundle Of Joy Stamp Set, Lemon Divine Twine and Buttercup Crinkle Ribbon
Cricut- Sweethearts and Winter Frolic
Peachy Keen- Happy Lashes ( I used the nose stamped twice, once upside down for the mouth on the baby)

I also did a stitching line around the outside of the card with my sewing machine. I stamped that beautiful sentiment and added a crinkle bow.
