We Make A Great Pear!

Hello everyone! Here is one of the projects that I made this weekend for the Peachy Keen Stamp Release  challenge. For this challenge you were to use at least 2 pieces of fruit in your project.
The fancy frame was cut from Elegant Edges and I did a faux stitching line around the circle. The pears were cut from Potpourri Basket and I stamped the faces with Peachy Keen's Happy Lashes faces. To finish the card I tied a ribbon and stamped the sentiment.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Bath Sign

Hello everyone! As I said in my last post, I have another recycling project to show you. It might be considered an upcycling project, I'm not sure! LOL! I could have SWORN that I took a picture of the original frame, but I can't find it anywhere on my camera. This started out as a white washed frame with a poster in the center. I bought it years ago and it was in my living room forever! I just recently re- designed my bathroom and saw a sign like this and thought it would be so cool in my bathroom. So I designed my own!
I started by spray painting the entire thing black. While it was drying I got out my wonderful Gypsy and designed this sign. I used Art Nouveau for the "bath and 5c" and Plantin Schoolbook for the bottom lines. I then cut this whole thing out of vinyl. I have only cut vinyl one other time, so I am pretty happy with how this turned out. I used transfer tape, cut it down to the exact size of the inside of my frame, and applied it to the middle. By cutting the exact size it ensured that it would be centered when I applied it to the frame. And just like that, instant bath art!
I hope you like my new bathroom sign, because I LOVE it! And the best part, it costed me nothing! I had all the supplies on hand. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Recycled Soup Can Gift Pail

Hello everyone! I have another recycling project to show you! This time I used a soup can. I am in recycling mode, because I have another fun home decor project that I did and will be posting it this week. This coming weekend in my town is the city wide rummage sale and I can't wait to see what fabulous stuff I can find to re-purpose!
I made this to enter into Peachy Keen's challenge. This week the challenge is to use a recycled soup can.
I started with an empty soup can and added a beaded handle to it. I did this be using a metal piercing tool and punched holes in the sides of the can. I then added some wire, beaded it, and tied it through the hole on the opposite side. I covered the top and bottom 1/3 of the can with twine and the center is a strip of paper that I stamped the word MOM onto. I paper pieced the bee and added it to the can using pop dots. The tag I cut by hand, stamped the sentiment and lips, and tied it on with some ribbon. I am going to put a gift card on the inside, the perfect little gift pail!

SUPPLIES:
Peachy Keen Stamps- Faceless Bugs and Kiss Me Leprechaun
Aqua Blue Timeless Twine
Michaels Mom stamps, sorry I don't remember the brand
Wire, Beads, and Ribbon

Thanks for looking and have a great night!

Post It Note Holder's

Happy Saturday everyone! I have a couple of Post It Note holders to show you today. I love adding these to gift bags. Everyone can use Post It's!
I followed this fabulous tutorial by Liz at Liz's Paper Loft. You can see the video HERE. These are so simple to make, and oh so cute. I cut the sun from Create A Critter and stamped the face. The ice cream cone was cut from Once Upon A Princess. I only cut one of the scoops and added a chocolate piece that was punched with the MS Drippy Goo Punch. The cherry was stamped and cut out and I added Glossy Accents to it and the chocolate layer. The cone was embossed with an embossing folder and I inked over it to make it stand out.

Cell Phone Charging Holder

Hello everyone! I have a fun recycling project to show you that I did for the Fantabulous Cricut's Save The Earth Crawl challenge. The challenge is to make a project using a recycled item.
I have just recently started an account with Pintrest! OMGosh! It is so addictive, but you find some of the coolest things. That is where I found the idea for my project. You can see the full tutorial HERE.
I made a super cute charging holder station for my cell phone. I started with an empty lotion bottle and cut it into the holder shape. I found it easiest to cut by first starting with an x-acto knife and then with scissors. In the original tutorial she used fabric to cover her holder, but I used paper to cover mine. I did this with glue and decoupaged it. The hedgehog was cut from Live Simply and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed face. This was super fun to make and oh so simple! Now my cell phone has a place to rest and without cords hanging out all over the place.
I just love making things with recycled items, the possibilities are endless. I hope you liked my project and thanks for looking! Have a great night!
P.S., as a side note, you might have noticed that I changed my blog AGAIN. This is because I was getting warnings that Shabby Blogs was full of malware. Anyone else have this happen? So I changed it to the fist thing I saw and it will stay like this until I figure out what is going on! LOL!

Mother's Day Hat Card

If you are looking for the winner for my giveaway, please see post just below this one!
Hello everyone! I have a super sweet Mother's Day card to show you today! My mom LOVES frilly hats, so I thought this would be perfect for her. (MOM, if you see this, pretend like you didn't when I give this to you! LOL!) My mom is a follower of my blog so I'm sure she'll see this! LOL!
I welded 2 hats from Freshly Picked to create the card base and cut all the layers. I created the ruffle using crinkle ribbon, I pleated it and glued it to the backs of the cuts to get this look. If you want to see a wonderful tutorial on how to do this technique, check THIS video out at My Craft Spot.
I added the scallop strip to the top of the ribbon layers and added pearls using a Viva Decor Pearl Pen. I also cut a rose from Flower Shoppe and added that over the flat flower cut. To finish I hand cut the tag and stamped the sentiment.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. My Craft Spot- Mothers Day
2. RRRR- Mothers Day + ribbon
3. Go Fish
Thanks for looking and have a great night!
