Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Celebrate The Occassion! This time the challenge is to use the colors BLUE and WHITE.
My card is pretty simple. I think this type of card would make a great sympathy card by just changing the sentiment. But I wanted something cheery so this is what I did. I cut the decorative frame and mat from Storybook and 3.5 inches. I used my white gel pen and did some hilighting and dots on the flowers to make them stand out more. I stamped the sentiment and mounted it on pop dots.. The background I embossed with Sizzix Flower Vine folder and added a ribbon. Very simple! :)
I hope you all liked my card and will play along this week. I can't wait to see what you will create! Have a great day!

Tweethearts!
Hi everyone! How cute is this card? These would make the cutest Valentines for kids to hand out. For my card I did a Treat Box Card. I found the tutorial HERE with the printable template...although the template is NOT accurate. You still have to follow the directions from the tutorial. And DON'T forget to add the acetate BEFORE you assemble the box....like I did the first time around! LOL! I didn't have the punch they called for so I just cut a rectangle using an Xacto knife and ruler and I filled the box with some M&M's. For the card part I cut the branch (pg.43) and birds (pg.28) from Straight From The Nest and glued on hearts to the tree branch's cut from George to the flowers. The Tweethearts (pg.71) was also cut from SFTN but I welded the S from Once Upon A Princess. I added the bowtie and flower to the birds and those are from Create A Critter. To finish the inside of the card I cut a frame from Storybook and stamped the sentiment. I am going to enter this into Card Creations & More By C's So Saturday Challenge #2 which is anything Valentine related. Have a great night everyone!

Thanksgiving Scrapbook Page
Good afternoon everyone! Today I have a scrapbook page that I did for Crafting With Christina's Companion Challenge. This challenge was to get ahead for the holidays and make a Thanksgiving layout. I cut the pilgrims from PDDU at 3 inches. The turkey is from Create A Critter and I cut him at 4 inches. The frame is cut from Storybook at 11.5 inches and the Thanksgiving phrase was cut from Simly Charmed a 2 inches. The 2010 was cut from Gypsy Font a 2 inches. I used my white gel pen to add the highlights to the frame and the turkey and pilgrims. I hope you all are having a wonderful day! Take care!

Jitterbuggin Owl Challenge
Happy Monday all! If any of you have the Gypsy and were looking forward to getting your new carts via download, it don't look so good. I got up at 6 a.m. to do mine and the new carts are all showing up red! :( Hopefully PC will be able to figure this out quickly....I was so looking forward to playing with my Gypsy today! Well, on to my card. I created this card to enter into Jitterbuggin's challenge this week. You were to make a card using a circle, square, and an owl in it. I cut my owl from Hoot N Holler at 2 inches. The circle frame is cut from George at 2.5 inches that I pop dotted to a solid circle. I also created the card in my Gypsy using Storybook for the scallop card cut at 5 inches. The sentiment is a My Favorite things stamp. I hope you all have a great day and lets hope we can get our Gypsy downloads today!! Good luck everyone!

Fall Spiced Cider Box WMC22
Good afternoon everyone! It's getting to be that time of year so I decided to make a Spiced Cider gift box. I got the idea and the dimentions for the box here. I tweeked up my box a little bit in Design Studio and this is what I came up with. I had this new Imaginisce Apple Cider paper that I couldn't wait to use and it worked perfect. I cut the racoon from Create a Critter at 3 inches and the marquee frame from Storybook also at 3 inches. The poem I made up with parts from various ones I found on the internet. I used my center point button on my Expression to cut the frame around the sentiment that I had printed off the computer. Then I cut the shadow for the fame also. On the inside of the box I used a tree from Simply Charmed cut at 3.75 inches for the window, covered it with acetate on the inside of the box, and filled the box with single serve packets of Spiced Cider drink mix. I hope everyone is having a great Saturday!

Life's A Beach Lizard cut
BBTB2's challenge this week was to use the Life's a Beach Lizard cut. I cut this lizard at 3 inches and the frames I cut from Storybook at 3.5 and 3.75 inches. The flowers are also from LAB and they were cut at 1 inch. I pop dotted the lizard to give him some dimention and put google eyes on him. I also embossed him with the Spots and Dots Cuttlebug folder.
