MCS Sketch Challenge

Good morning everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This week the challenge is a sketch challenge. Created a card based on the sketch below.

Here is the card that I created using the sketch:

I cut the koala bear from a Lettering Delights file called Over Koala-fied and stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Cornies face stamp. I mounted her to My Craft Spot's 4 inch Metal Doily Die which I cut off the outer layer to make it  a bit smaller.
I added a looped twine border to the bottom of my card by putting glue on the back of the mat and then curling the ribbon along the edge. To finish I added a black stitched pen border and stamped the sentiment using My Craft Spot's Tasty Treats stamp set.

I hope you will all play along and please don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's projects!
Have a great day!

For my project today, I made this cute little baby gift bag. I cut the purse from a file from the Silhouette store and added the monkey which was cut from the Lettering Delights Welcome To The Jungle file. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen In The Garden face stamp and mounted him on pop dots.
I created the circle sentiment using My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies Dies and Stampin' Around Spring stamp set. To finish I tied a Milk Chocolate Crinkle Ribbon to the top.
I hope you will all play along and please don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's projects! Have a great day!

Beary Best Friends

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Sew Fun" Hand or machine stitch on your project.

I made this card for my project today. Stitching with my sewing machine on cards is one of my favorite things to do. And not to mention that is all my poor sewing machine gets used for anymore...lol!
I cut the Koala Bear/Ostrich from a Lettering Delights file called Over Koala-Fied.
I used My Craft Spot's Lacy Banner Dies to create the banner and stamped the sentiment using My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 3 stamp set. I used my sewing machine to stitch the top of the tag and along the strip of paper. To finish I added some sticker gems.

I hope you will all play along in the challenge and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! Have a great day!

How fun is that sentiment? It's from My Craft Spot's Cute Critters Stamp set!

This is a fairly simple card with a fun layout. I cut the cow from a Lettering Delights file called Rise and Shine. I hid the eyes before I cut it out and stamped them with a Peachy Keen Winter Face Assortment stamp set.
I cut the circle and scallop mat using my Cameo and did a penned stitching line around the mat. I also used my sewing machine to do the stitched line down the side.
To finish I added some simple banners and stamped the sentiment using My Craft Spot's Cute Critters stamp set.

Just For Ewe

I used the Tiny Doilies Dies to create the sentiment button.

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at My Craft Spot and I have a card to share. I used My Craft Spot's Cute Critters stamp set and the Tiny Doilies Dies on this card.

This was such a fun card to make! I was inspired by a card that I saw on Pinterest that had this layout with a cloud border at the top.
I cut the lamb from a Lettering Delights file called In Like A Lion and mounted him to a circle with mat. I used a white gel pen for the stitching on the inside and used an awl to poke holes in the outer one.
I created the cloud border using my Gypsy and the cloud from Create A Critter. I sized them big to small and staggered them. I also used an awl to poke the holes in the clouds.
To finish I added the Tiny Doilies Die and stamped the inside sentiment with the Cute Critters stamp set.

I hope you all liked my card and thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

You're Dino-mite Dad!

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This week the challenge is "Dad" Create something for Dad.
I made this fun card. I always have a hard time making "manly" cards, so mine tend to be cutesy. LOL!
I cut the dino monster from a Lettering Delights file called Monster Love. I did a black stitching line around the mat and "Dad" tag. The "dad" was stamped using My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 2 stamp set and the "You're Dino-mite!" from the Build A Valentine stamp set.
I also added some decorative brads to the sentiment mat and some Black Stripe ribbon with a bow.
I hope you will all play along in the challenge and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created. Have a great day!

Get Well Soup Card

If you are looking for the Peachy Keen post, please see just below this one!

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot
This week the challenge is "Ribbon and Twine" Create any project but include ribbon and twine.
I made this get well soup card for my project today. I think this would be such a nice gift to give someone feeling under the weather.

I started by creating the card and pocket inside. Here are the directions on how to make one for yourself-
1. Cut a 5 X 10 1/2 inch piece of cardstock and score at 4 3/4 and 5 3/4- this will be your card
2. Cut a 7 X 4 inch piece of cardstock for pocket. Score at 1/2 and 1 1/4 inches on the 2 short sides and 1 long side. You will then cut away the bottom corners to look like this:

 3. On the inside of the card, glue you pocket in, lining it up with bottom of card cover. This pocket is the perfect size for a packet of soup!

I cut the rooster from a Lettering Delights file called Rise and Shine and used my sewing machine to stitch around the mat. Before I added the mat, I glued the Cream and Black ribbon from My Craft Spot to the card.
I stamped the sentiment from My Craft Spot's Feel Better Soon stamp set and mounted it with brads. I also added a button with some Vintage Cherry twine to the front.
On the inside I stamped the sentiment from MCS's Feel Better Soon and the sentiment in front of the soup from My Craft Spot's Cute Critters stamp set.

I hope you will all play along in the challenge and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! Have a great day!

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at My Craft Spot and I want to share a card that I made using My Craft Spot's NEW Cute Critters stamp set! This set is AWESOME! There are so many fun sentiments in this set!

The lion was cut from a Lettering Delights file called In Like A Lion and I stamped the eyes with a Peachy Keen Here Kitty Kitty face stamp.
I added a black stitching line around the mat and cut the sentiment tab at the top using From My Kitchen. I stamped the sentiments on the top tab and the sentiment banner with My Craft Spot's Cute Critters stamp set and attached the bottom one using a button and Twisted Teal Twine.

Here is this whole new set, in case you haven't had a chance to see it yet

I hope you all liked my card and thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!
