Halloween Hanging Easel Card

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is 3D Halloween. Create a 3D Halloween project.
I decided to try this hanging easel card and I have to say, it turned out pretty neat! It was alot of work though LOL!
I created the card and all the cuts using my Cricut. I started with an easel card base and then cut out the decorative frames from Elegant Edges. After it was cut out, I used the inside oval to trace onto my card base where it folds in half. Then I cut out the oval.
I cut the spider from Mini Monsters and stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Erkle and Merkle face. I punched a hole into the top and added some cotton string. I then layered the string in between the to fancy frames and mounted them around the cut out circle on the card base.
The spider web on the inside was cut using Paper Doll Dress Up and I mounted it on pop dots.
I stamped the "Be Spooky" sentiment onto My Craft Spot's Tiny Banner Die and stamped the Happy Halloween onto the inside of the card using the Best Witches To You stamp set.
I hope you will all play along and please don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's projects!
Have a great day!

Christmas In The Heart

Hello everyone! Today I have a card to share with you that I made using the New Joy To The World stamp set from My Craft Spot!
I have to admit that I totally scraplifted this card! The design was so pretty and I knew this sentiment would be PERFECT for this card! The original card HERE was a stamped image card. I redid it using my Cricut!
The fence and light pole were cut from Mini Monsters and the birds from Straight From The Nest. I created the Holly branches and berries using punches. The branches were made using a snowflake punch that I cut into 3 sections then glued them onto the fence. For the berries, I used a small hole punch and added some black lines to the tops. The background I stamped the snowflakes using My Craft Spot's New Stampin' Around Christmas stamp set and cut a wavy piece for the snow. To finish I added some twine and jute and stamped the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!

You're Monsterrific!

Good morning everyone! It's Monday which means a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This week the challenge is "Little Monsters" Use a monster in your project.
I went a little doodle crazy on this one! But I think it turned out pretty cute.
Using my Gypsy I created the card base using 2 frames from Elegant Edges and welded them together. I cut the mat from Elegant Edges and did a black stitching line around it. The monster was cut from Mini Monsters and I used white pen, black pen, Copic Markers, and stickles to dress him up. The eyes were stamped using a Peachy Keen face. To finish I stamped that fun sentiment which is from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting set.
I hope you will all play along this week and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created. Have a great day!

Spooky Pull Up Treat Holders

Hello everyone! It's Monday which means a new challenge at My Craft Spot!
This week the challenge is "A Treat For You" something to go with the gift of food.
I made these pull up treat holders. I have had this idea for a long time and decided to finally make them. They are so much fun! When you pull on the bow, the treat comes sliding up on a tag. They are based off of the Hershey bar pull up treat holders, but smaller. You can see a great video tutorial HERE. I will also give you the measurements of the smaller ones I did.
I cut my base 4 X 9 and scored it at 3 and 6 inches. Fold over each side and glue sides including the bottom. The tag is cut at 3 3/4 X 2 7/8. Measure enough ribbon to go around the entire tag and more to tie a bow. I simply used my ATG tape to secure the treats to the tag.
The fronts were decorated with the following:
The Pumpkin: I used the face from one of the pumpkins in Mini Monsters and did a black faux stitching line around the outside.
The Bat: I added large google eyes, drew the mouth with a white pen, hand cut triangles for the teeth and the bat wings are from the bat in Simply charmed that I glued to the back.
The Mummy: The is just strips of paper that I inked and also added large google eyes.
All of my treat holders I added stamped sentiment tags to using My Craft Spot's Ghostly Greetings stamp set.
I hope you will all play along and please don't forget to check out the rest of the great projects!
Have a great day!

If You've Got It, Haunt It!

Hello everyone and happy Sunday! I wanted to share the card that I did for the Peachy Keen October release challenge that I did. For this challenge it was "3, 2, 1". 3 buttons, 2 pattern papers, and ribbon. I am also going to enter this into the Wobble Wednesday challenge which is "Anything That Wobbles"
I cut the ghost from Mini Monsters and stamped the face with a face from the  Peachy Keen Sandwich Fun stamp set. I gave her a small crinkle ribbon bow and mounted her to an action wobble. I added some buttons with orange twine bows and a sheer bow with a button and twine center. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Best Witches To You stamp set.

Boo To You!

If you are looking for the Exploring Cricut Guest Designer project, please see post just below this one!

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This week the challenge is "Boo To You" Halloween themed projects.
Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year for paper crafting. I LOVE making fun monster cards and treat containers! LOL!
I had an idea that I wanted to have my dracula leaning out of a window so this is what I came up with. The idea sprang up after seeing THIS fabulous card by Leanne from Created By Leanne.
I created the window by cutting the fancy bottom frame from Elegant Edges and an inside panel using squares from Plantin Schoolbook. I inked the edges in white for more dimension and added the stamped and embossed sentiment. The dracula was cut from Mini Monsters and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen face stamp. I did a white stitching line to his cape and glued him to the frame. Then I layered some vellum behind for the window. I embossed the background and added a bow. I also finished the inside of the card with matching paper and stamped the sentiment.
I hope you all will play along this week and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the amazing DT has created. Have a great day!

Hello everyone and welcome to day 2 of the My Craft Spot Sneak Peeks! Make sure you go on over to My Craft Spot everyday this week for oodles of cute projects and giveaways DAILY! All of the new stamp sets will be available on Saturday!
I made these fun treat holders for today's project. These would be so cute for kids treats to take to school or even hand out from home.
The base is a really simple pocket. To create the pocket, cut a 2 1/2 X 9 inch strip of cardstock and score at 6 inches. Cut pattern paper 1/4 inch smaller and glue down, and then glue the sides to create pocket.
I decorated 3 different examples. All of them include a drink stick in the pocket that I added black crinkle ribbon bows with tags stamped from the new Spooky Treats stamp set. Isn't that font so cool!?! I also gave you an extra sneak peek from yesterdays stamp set Stampin' Around Fall....that little spider on the tag.
The spider was cut from Smiley cards and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen face stamp. I also added a spiderweb punched border to it. The witch's hat was cut from Happy Hauntings and the skull sign from Mini Monster.

Whimsical Wednesdays " Anything Goes" Challenge

Hello everyone! It's time for a new Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. This time the challenge is ANYTHING GOES.
Whimsical Designs is having a design team call for the upcoming term. Anyone who is interested in becoming a designer should click on the contact button at the Whimsical Designs Blog and e-mail Stephanie for more information.

For my project I created this super fun card. I cut a 4 inch circle from George and Basic Shapes for the background mat and stamped the hearts and sentiment around the outside which are both from Whimiscal Designs With Love stamp set.

The monster was cut from Mini Monsters at 3 inches and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Cornie face stamp. To create the pleated ribbon, I ran ATG tape around the back side of the 4 inch stamped circle and pleated the ribbon around the outside. I then added another 4 inch circle to the back to sandwich in the ribbon. To finish I used a decorative corner punch and filled in the design with stickles.
I hope you will all play along this week and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT had created. Have a great day!
I am going to enter this at Celebrate The Occasion where the challenge is Poka Dots.

LFIF Creepy Cute

Hello everyone! I know that Halloween is past but I wanted to enter this into Peachy Keen's Lets Face It Friday challenge. Also I just got Sweet Tooth Boxes and had to create something with it! LOL! The challenge this time is "Creepy Cute" and you must use a PK face stamp.
I cut the box and insert from Sweet Tooth Boxes at 7 inches. The cups holding the eyeball gum was also cut from STB's at 3.5 inches using the cupcake bottom. I used a set of PK eye stamps to stamp the insert and the front cover. I used a Copic marker to color in all the white aside from the eyes. The mummy was cut from Mini Monsters and I inked all the edges. I stamped the face with PK face stamps and colored the eyes and mouth with a Copic marker. The banner was cut from Birthday Bash as was the BOO font. I added some black floss to the banner and added bows to the edges.
I hope you all are having a great day and don't forget to come back tommorow for the Scraptastic Designs Blog Hop at 7pm! Also there is a new challenge up for Whimsical Wednesdays! This time the challenge is Anything Goes.
I am also going to enter this into Getting Cricky's Simple Sunday Challenge which is to use orange, black and one other color.

Mini Monster Step Card

Hello everyone! Today is a BIG day! Game day that is. My son's high school football team made the playoffs and today is their first playoff game. GO FALCONS!
Here is a card that I made for a couple of challenges and because I just won this cart from M.A.G. Challenge By The Page and couldn't wait to play with it. THANKS GIRLS!
Everything on this card was cut using Mini Monsters. I cut the Haunted House for the back layer...don't you just love the poka dot roof? I cut the monster and used glitter paper for his belly and horns. The candy bucket he's holding I chose not to add the pumpkin face and instead used a black pen for the details. The fence I cut using my Gypsy to stretch out to the size of the card and cut pumpkins for the front. I cut the sign post and stamped the signs with stamps from My Craft Spots Happy Haunting set.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. Fantabulous Cricut: Purple People Eater: Use the color purple and either a monster or bug
2. Bitten By The Bug 2: Halloween using the color purple
3. Crazy About Cricut Thankful Thursday: Monster Mash: Create a project using a monster
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

I cut Hello Kitty from Hello Kitty Greetings and added Stickles to her bow and sucker. I did a white stitching line around the bag, tied a crinkle ribbon bow, and added 3D spider stickers that were from Recollections set.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
