Peachy Keen Release Party Challenge Cards

Hello everyone! Did you get to the Peachy Keen Release Party tonight? What fabulous inspiration from all of the DT and HOW CUTE are these new stamps???
I have a couple of cards to share with you that I made for the Release Party challenges. Even if you didn't make it to the party, you can still play along for a chance at a Peachy Keen Gift Certificate.

My first card is for the release party challenge that I am hosting. You can created any project, but include a sun on it.
I created the card base using Birthday Bash and I welded a cloud from Create A Critter to the bottom before I cut it out. The sun is from Everyday Paper Dolls and I stamped it with that ADORABLE face using the new PK June SOTM kit. The sand castle is also from the SOTM kit and I added it to the cloud with a banner. The sentiment is also from the June SOTM kit.

For the second challenge, you're to create a 1-2-3 card. 1 stamped image, 2 pattern paper, and 3 embellishments hosted my my DT sister Amy.
I stamped the Hula girl from the new Rock A Hula add on set and colored her with Copic markers. The flower is cut from Mother Day Bouquet and I added some stickles to the edges of the flower. I also added some to the top banner and to the flowers on the hula girl. I added some gems to the center of the flower and also to the flower in her hair. To finished I stamped the sentiment from the Rock A Hula stamp set.

I hope you all will play along in the challenges which can be found at The Peachy Keen Connection.
You can also buy all these stamps NOW at Peachy Keen!
Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!

Just For Ewe

I used the Tiny Doilies Dies to create the sentiment button.

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at My Craft Spot and I have a card to share. I used My Craft Spot's Cute Critters stamp set and the Tiny Doilies Dies on this card.

This was such a fun card to make! I was inspired by a card that I saw on Pinterest that had this layout with a cloud border at the top.
I cut the lamb from a Lettering Delights file called In Like A Lion and mounted him to a circle with mat. I used a white gel pen for the stitching on the inside and used an awl to poke holes in the outer one.
I created the cloud border using my Gypsy and the cloud from Create A Critter. I sized them big to small and staggered them. I also used an awl to poke the holes in the clouds.
To finish I added the Tiny Doilies Die and stamped the inside sentiment with the Cute Critters stamp set.

I hope you all liked my card and thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

Welcome To The Neighborhood

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Welcome To The Neighborhood"
I created this house shape card for my project today. I decided to give it LOTS of texture and depth by using several embossing folders and pop dotting layers.
I created the card in my Gypsy by welding 2 houses together from Create A Critter. I embossed the house background using the Tim Holtz Bricks embossing folder and the door with the Woodgrain folder.
I cut the fence and grass from Paper Doll Dress Up and mounted each layer on pop dots. I added a brad for the door handle and a window box to the window. The circle sentiment was created by using My Craft Spot's Tiny Doily Dies and I stamped the sentiment and flowers from the Stampin' Around Spring stamp set. To finish I pop dotted the roof and added a Toadally Green Crinkle Ribbon bow.
I hope you all will play along and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! Have a great day!

You're EGG-cellent!

Hello everyone! This is the second card that I made for the Release Party Challenges going on over at the Peachy Keen Connection. For this challenge you were to either heat or dry emboss.
I chose to do a heat emboss.
I started by stamping the clouds with a Versa Mark ink pad and covered them in clear embossing powder. I used my heat gun to melt the embossing powder and then used my white gel pen to add some highlights to the clouds.  The card base was cut from Birthday Bash and I added a pattern piece of paper to the front. The egg and bow were stamped using the NEW PKSC-15 March 2013 stamp set. I colored the face with copic markers and added the bow to her head. The long strip of grass was cut from Everyday Paper Dolls and the rest of the grass pieces and sun were cut from Create A Critter. I stamped the sun's face with a Peachy Keen Sweet and Silly face and mounted it on pop dots. To finish, I stamped the sentiment from the Peachy Keen Easter Bunnies stamp set.
I hope you all liked my card and will come play along in the challenges! Have a great day and thanks for stopping in!

BEE Mine

A close up of all the glitter!

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! I have a fun card to share with you today that I made using My Craft Spot's Build A Valentine stamp set on. I did go a little glitter crazy on this card, but I think it turned out cute!
The card I created by cutting the bee hive from Create A Critter and mounted it to a card base. I then used my scissors to trim around it to get this card shape. I added a glittered heart to the top and stickle highlights over the entire hive.
The bear was cut from Teddy Bear Parade and I stamped the face with Peachy Keen's NEW Teddy Bear Faces. I also added some hearts to the antenna that I glittered.
To finish I added some gems and stamped the sentiment banner using My Craft Spot's Build A Valentine stamp set.

The challenge at My Craft Spot this week is "Bling It Up"  Use glitter/bling on your project. You have until Monday to link up and the prize is the very stamp set I used on this card!

I hope you all enjoyed seeing my card and thanks for looking! Have a great weekend.

Up A Tree

HOW CUTE ARE THESE BEARS?

Hello everyone! I wanted to share this adorable card that I made using Peachy Keen's NEW Teddy Bear Faces and the January 2013 SOTM kit. I just LOVE how this card turned out and my SIL is going to freak out when I give this to her! She has a thing for bears. LOL!
To create the tree background this is what I did:
I started with a 4 1/4 X 8 1/2 inch piece of Kraft cardstock.  I marked out where I wanted the holes for my bears to be and using the CENTERPOINT feature on my Cricut, I cut out 1 3/4 inch circles. After the holes were cut I embossed the piece with the Tim Holtz Woodgrain folder. You will have to do it on each end and it will not match up exactly. So what I did was I took my stylus and my mouse pad and embossed so that the lines would match up. After it was embossed, I inked over all the raised edges with some distress ink. BE CAREFUL with it. The embossing is really deep and it will tear VERY easy! After the tree part is all done is when I trimmed it to fit my card. The reason I did this is because of the embossing, sometimes it shrinks to much.
I stamped the tag, which is from the $1 bin at Micheals, and added it to twine around the card. Then I mounted it to a folded in half 8 1/2 X 8 1/2 inch piece of dark brown cardstock.
I stamped the bears and colored them with Copic markers and cut them out. I placed them in the holes and pop dotted their paws.
The tree branches were cut from Create A Critter (from the dinosaur cut). I cut 5 of them and used a Copic marker to highlight them. I arranged them around the top and the top corner one I mounted on pop dots.

I hope you all liked my card and thanks for looking! Have a great day!

A Kiss...

Hello everyone! I have a fun card to share with you today! I love creating Valentine's and this one was so fun to create! I used My Craft Spot's Always And Forever sentiment stamps on this card. This is such a great set with the best sentiments!
I cut the dog from Create A Critter and stamped the face with a Peachy Keen stamp. The letters in his mouth, kiss, and tuft of hair were stamped using Peachy Keen's January SOTM kit. I heat embossed the lips to give it some shine and added the hair. I also used an Xacto knife to cut around his mouth to be able to slip the letters under his teeth. I cut 2 of the base pieces for him and then cut off his head and mounted it to the base with an action wobble.
The scallop heart was cut from Sweethearts and I inked the edges of the inside mat. To finish I added some Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine and stamped that adorable sentiment from My Craft Spot's Always And Forever stamp set.

Here is a short video of the Action Wobble in action

I hope you all enjoyed seeing my card and thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!

You Make Me Happy

I put him on an action wobble!

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This time the challenge is "Anything Goes" Anyone can play, but you have to use My Craft Spot stamps to be eligible to win the prize.
I decided I wanted to change things up a bit from Winter themed projects and instead used my FAV bee from Create A Critter.
I cut the bee from CAC and stamped her face using a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids face. I did lots of pen work on her with both black and white pens and mounted her on an action wobble.
To create the tag I used My Craft Spot's Tiny Tag Dies and stamped the sentiment using Tiny Tags Stamps. I added some Black twine and mounted it to a Sky Blue crinkle ribbon bow.
To finish, I added a black stitching line around the entire card.
I hope you all will play along and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! Have a great day!

Give Thanks

Hello everyone! I have a quick card to share today. I can't believe that it's almost November already! Where does the time go?
I cut the squirrel and fancy mats from Create A Critter. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen face stamp and did a stitching line around the inside mat. I added a strip of burlap to the side and tied some Cherry Red Vintage twine around it. I stamped the sentiment, matted it, and attached it to the card using brads.
I hope you all like my card and thanks for stopping in today!

Every Day Is A Gift

Hello everyone! It's Monday which means a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Wild About You". Include a wild animal in your project.
I saw a card that I just LOVED and used the layout for this card. Sometimes a great layout MAKES the card! I cut the raccoon from Create A Critter and stamped the face with PK face stamps. All of the mats were cut from Elegant Edges and I embossed the white one. I cut banners for the top as well as the bottom and did a white stitching line on them. I added the stamped and embossed sentiment to a punched oval and some sparkly brads. I am somewhat new to the heat embossing, so please don't judge the stamp on my embossing skills! LOL!
I hope you all will play along in the challenge and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the amazing DT has created. Have a great day!

Thanks So Much!

The NEW Tiny Doilies Dies from My Craft Spot....SO CUTE!

Hello everyone! Here is a fun card that I made using My Craft Spot's NEW Tiny Doilies Dies! These are SO CUTE!
I cut the bee girl from Paper Doll Dress Up...an oldie, but a goodie! I did some inking on her, used a white gel pen, and stamped her face with a PK Happy Lashes face. I cut her wings from the bee in Create A Critter and attached her to an Itty Bitty Bag. I stamped and embossed the sentiment which is from the Thank You stamp set and attached it to the side of the bag. I cut a simple rectangle and used a corner rounder on the corners for the tag. I glued the gift card directly to the tag and added some Cherry Red twine for the pull. The circle embellishment I created by layering the Tiny Doilies Dies on top of each other and did a black stitching line around the white layer. I added a button with a bow out of Vintage Green Twine to the center.
I am going to enter this into Exploring Cricut's challenge which is to include a person on your project. Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!
