Hoppy Easter

Hello everyone and happy Friday! I am SO sick of winter! It has been SO super cold here. We have been lucky if it hits 40 degree's...which it hasn't in almost 2 weeks. IT'S SPRING for pete's sake! LOL!

I have a card to share today that I made for Easter. I know alot of you like to see my Cricut creations and I will keep alternating with my Cricut and Cameo. I just had to create something with this adorable chick from Create A Critter 2.
I cut the card base from Birthday Bash and the grass from Paper Doll Dress Up. The eggs were cut from Doodlecharms and I hand cut one in half to make it look like it cracked. The chick was cut from Create A Critter 2 and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen's Winter Wonderland face stamp. The bunny hat is the accessory for this cut. To finish I used My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies Dies to create the sentiment flower and stamped the sentiment using Peachy Keen's Baby Easter Bunny stamp set.
I hope you all like my card and thanks for stopping in. Have a wonderful weekend.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:
BBTB2- Egg-ceptional Easter Eggs
Craftin Desert Diva's- Easter Eggstravaganza

Easter Basket and Tutorial

Hello everyone! Have you seen the NEW stamps from Peachy Keen yet? HOW CUTE ARE THEY?!?!?! I just LOVE all the bunnies in these new sets!
I made this Easter basket for 1 of the 2 challenge at the Peachy Keen Connection site. If you missed the release party last night, you still can come play along in the challenges for some awesome prizes!
This challenge is to create your own background. I stamped the background with one of the NEW PK stamps called Brick Wall Background. I think it has an awesome basket weave look to it!
I stamped and colored the bunny and eggs and added the sentiment frame with the sentiment. I cut the grass from Paper Doll Dress Up and added it to the bottom of the basket.

To make the basket, I used my Cricut and Doodlecharms. I will give you a quick tutorial on how to make it.
I cut 2 baskets from Doodlecharms at 8 inches using the blackout cut. I also opted to cut a 3rd one just for the rim of the basket and trimmed off the rest.
Cut a 3 X 11 inch piece of cardstock and score 1/2 in on each side down the 11 inch side. Then turn and score at 3 1/4 and 7 3/4. After it's score you will cut triangles into where the center score marks meet. It should look like this

After the center is scored and cut you will assemble the basket. I used Score tape for a secure hold. You will add score tape to each of the 6 tabs on the outside. Peel of the tape backing and with one side, center it across the bottom of the basket just above the bottom rim. It will look like this
'
Then add your back piece and your basket is complete!
I hope you all liked my project today and thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful day!

How Much Longer Must We Wait?

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This week the challenge is Merry Christmas...get started on those Christmas cards!
For my card I cut the santa from Doodlecharms. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen face stamp and added some sparkly fluff to his hat and mustache. The background mat was embossed with the Poka Dots Cuttlebug folder and I matted it in green. I cut strips of paper for the sentiment tabs, used my corner rounder on the corners and stamped the sentiments from My Craft Spot's Mistletoe stamp set. To finish I added some Toadally Green crinkle ribbon around the card and tied a bow.
I hope you will all play along this week and please don't forget to check out the other great projects from the DT. Have a great day!

Day 5 Of My Craft Spots Fall Release Party

Hello everyone! It's the last day of sneak peeks for My Craft Spot's new releases! Tomorrow we will be having a BLOG HOP with the full release of the stamp sets! There will also be a new stamp set up for grabs at every stop in the hop.
Today we are giving sneak peeks of the new Happy Thanksgiving Stamp Set. I made this shaped card to show you. I created the shape card by cutting 2 shadow layers or the basket and glued and scored it across the top. The basket was cut from Doodlecharms and I added brads to it. I think the woven decorative paper really gives this card lots of character. The pumpkins and vines were cut from the Thanksgiving cart. I cut the vines off the main cut and re-arranged them where I wanted. I sandwiched them in between the front and back of the card. To finish I added the tag that I stamped with a sentiment from the Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and added some brads.
Thanks so much for visiting all week long for the sneak peeks! I hope you enjoyed all the projects I shared this week and have inspired you! Make sure you go to My Craft Spot for the daily prize and come back tomorrow for the BLOG HOP! There will be lots of great projects and a stamp set will be given away at each blog in the hop! "Hoppy" Bunny

Hello everyone! I have another Easter card to show you that I did for a couple of challenges. I just love how this card turned out. It reminds me of the old Peter Cotton Tail books.
The decorative mats were cut from Elegant Edges and so was the bunny. I stamped the eye on the bunny with a Peachy Keen Cornies face stamp and did some highlighting with a black pen. The basket was cut from Doodlecharms and I also used the black pen on here for the details. The grass and fence were cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and I stamped the sentiment which is from Scrappy Mom's Furry Friends set. To finish I added a crinkle ribbon bow and added a rose that was cut from Flower Shoppe.

I cut the scallop mat from Cricut Craft Room Basics at 12 inches and used some Aqua Blue Timeless Twine around the scallops and inside. This took some time but I think so well worth it! The basket and eggs were cut from Doodlecharms and I inked around all the edges. The bunny was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed face stamp. The grass I cut by hand and the the Happy Easter was cut from Robots. Scraptastic Mondays!

Hello everyone! I have some exciting news to share!!! I have been asked by Cindy of Cindy's Scraptastic Designs (formerly Cindy's Little Creations)  to be a part of her first Design Team! YAY! I am so very honored that she asked me to be a part of this. She designs the CUTEST digis and will be opening a digi shop and starting up challenges every Monday called Scraptastic Mondays! The challenges will start on Monday November 7th and EVERYONE can play. You can create anything using whatever medium you choose. In other words you do not have to use digi's to play. But I have a feeling that when you see some of the cute things you can do with them, you will want to use them.
For my card I used Cindy's Digi Sweetie Scarecrow and colored it with colored pencils. The pumpkins were cut from Doodlecharms at 1 and 3/4 of an inch. I stamped the sentiment with a stamp from My Craft Spots Happy Fall set and used the Mesh Texture cuttlebug folder for the embossed background. Everything was inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
I hope you all will come welcome Scraptastic Mondays and play along with the challenges starting Nov. 7th! Have a great day and thanks for looking!

October 31st

Hello everyone! I have another Halloween card for you today. I just LOVE how this card turned out! I am pretty new to digital stamps and coloring, so this card made me very happy.
The witch digi came from Bugaboo stamps. They have some of the CUTEST digis! I masked off the digi and  stamped the ghost which is from Peachy Keens Halloween Mini set. By masking it, the ghost looks like its in the background. I colored all the images with a combination of Copics and colored pencils. I tore the edges of the white mat and inked all the edges on all the mats and tag with black ink.  I stamped the tag with a sentiment stamp from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting set and added a spider that was cut at 1 inch from Doodlecharms on a pop dot and a piece of fiber.
I am going to enter this into the Peachy Keen sketch challenge and Getting Cricky's Simple Sunday challenge. SS's challenge is to use the colors Orange, Black and one other color...I chose white.
Have a great day and thanks for looking!

Broom Parking Here!

Good morning everyone! Here is the card that I made for M.A.G. Challenge By The Page. This time the challenge was to use Doodlecharms page 105 and only use the Cricut cuts from that page. You are free to use all the embellishments you want.
I cut the bear from Doodlecharms and stamped the face with a Peachy Keen face stamp. I also chalked around the edges and used a black pen for the outline. The hat, broom, and cat are all from the Disney Cuttlebug Halloween die and embossing set. This set is so cute and fun. I inked around the cat and broom and used a white pen for the highlights. I also used a silver marker to color the buckle on the hat. The sign I cut by hand and stamped it with a stamp from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting set. I used black floss to make the hanger for it and hung it from a brad. To finish I tied a ribbon and stamped the inside and added a strip of matching paper. I hope you all like my card and thanks for looking! Have a great day!

Flip Flop Fun!

Hello everyone! It's time for another challenge at Celebrate The Occasion! This week the challenge is Celebrate Summer and you must include a SUN somewhere in your project.
I made up a name for my cute little tote...Tip Top Toenail Tote! HEE HEE! One of my favorite things about summer is showing off my painted toenails and flip flops! So this is what I made for my project.

I cut the tote at fit to page from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More and tore a piece of kraft paper for the sand after I printed the sentiment off my computer. The sun was printed and cut at 1.5 inches from Imagine More and I mounted it with pop dots. The tag I made using Doodlecharms cut at 2.5 inches and the mats were cut at 2.25 and 2. The flip flops were cut from Car Decals at 2 inches. I attatched the tag to a piece of twine and tied it around the bag. To finish I added the toenail goodies. I hope you liked my project and will play along this week at CTO! I can't wait to see what you'll create! Have fun!
I am also going to enter this into Fantabulous Cricuts challenge were the challenge is to add a sun to your project and to Two Scraptastic Gals CCCC challenge which is to use Tags, Bags, Boxes and More.

Ruff Day?

Hello everyone! I am sorry I haven't posted for awhile but I have been getting my craft room ready for my new toy. I ordered an Imagine! I have been on the fence about it since it first came out and finally decided to take the plunge. I am VERY excited and can't wait to start playing with it! OK on to my card.

I made this card for My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday challenge. This time the challenge is to use Doodlecharms or any older cart and use the color blue. All of my cuts I made with Doodlecharms. I made the card by cutting 2 of the dog houses at 5 inches and I welded a shape to the bottom to fill in the door using my Gypsy. I assembled the card together by putting a brad through both layers at the top so it slides open. I cut the dog house slightly smaller for the front. I embossed the roof with the diamonds Cuttlebug folder and pop dotted it to the card. I cut the dog at 2 inches and added some white highlights and Glossy Accents to his nose. The sentiment I printed off my computer and matted it to add to the front. The inside I stamped using 2 different stamps to get the sentiment I wanted. As you can see I messed it up but you know, it is handmade after all and can't always be perfect! :) I hope you all will also go check out Whimsical Wednesdays challenge this week which is to make a shaped card! I will be adding this there too. I hope you all are having a wonderful day and thanks for looking!

Good afternoon everyone! Isn't this card just adorable?! I did this card for Cricut Cardz Easter Bunny Blog Hop challenge which is to make a bunny project. I cut the bunny from Paper Doll Dress Up on real dial size at 3 inches. I highlighted him with a black pen and added Glossy Accents to his nose. The easter basket was cut from Doodlecharms at 1 inch and I tucked it under the bunny's hands. The eggs were also cut from Doodlecharms at 1.25 inches. The grass was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and the chick was cut from Once Upon A Princess at 1 inch. To finish I stamped the sentiment and tied a ribbon to the top. I hope you all are having a great day and only 2 left til the weekend! Yay!
