Falling Leaves

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Falling Leaves". Use a fall leaf on your project.
I made this card for my project. I cut the sunflower from Flower Shoppe and inked all the edges. I cut two leaves from Everyday Paper Dolls and inked the edges of these also. The fancy edged mat was cut from Elegant Edges using the card feature. I layered wound up twine behind the flower and layered it on the top corner of the mat. To finish I stamped the sentiment which is from My Craft Spot's Happy Fall stamp set.
I hope you all will play along in the challenge and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has made. Have a great day!

Mother's Day Hat Card

If you are looking for the winner for my giveaway, please see post just below this one!
Hello everyone! I have a super sweet Mother's Day card to show you today! My mom LOVES frilly hats, so I thought this would be perfect for her. (MOM, if you see this, pretend like you didn't when I give this to you! LOL!) My mom is a follower of my blog so I'm sure she'll see this! LOL!
I welded 2 hats from Freshly Picked to create the card base and cut all the layers. I created the ruffle using crinkle ribbon, I pleated it and glued it to the backs of the cuts to get this look. If you want to see a wonderful tutorial on how to do this technique, check THIS video out at My Craft Spot.
I added the scallop strip to the top of the ribbon layers and added pearls using a Viva Decor Pearl Pen. I also cut a rose from Flower Shoppe and added that over the flat flower cut. To finish I hand cut the tag and stamped the sentiment.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. My Craft Spot- Mothers Day
2. RRRR- Mothers Day + ribbon
3. Go Fish
Thanks for looking and have a great night!

"Hoppy" Bunny

Hello everyone! I have another Easter card to show you that I did for a couple of challenges. I just love how this card turned out. It reminds me of the old Peter Cotton Tail books.
The decorative mats were cut from Elegant Edges and so was the bunny. I stamped the eye on the bunny with a Peachy Keen Cornies face stamp and did some highlighting with a black pen. The basket was cut from Doodlecharms and I also used the black pen on here for the details. The grass and fence were cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and I stamped the sentiment which is from Scrappy Mom's Furry Friends set. To finish I added a crinkle ribbon bow and added a rose that was cut from Flower Shoppe.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. My Craft Spot- Challenge #50: Easter
2. Scrappy Mom's- Terrific Tuesday challenge: Easter

Froggie Easel Card

This is a picture of it closed

A close up of the water lilies

Happy Friday everyone! Here is a card that I designed and made using CCR. It took me awhile to figure this one out for some reason. I don't think my brain was all there! LOL!
I cut the card base by welding 2 circles together and an oval that was slightly bigger than the lily pad. I cut the mat layers for the front using a circle and a scallop circle. The lily pad and frog were cut from Create A Critter. I cut 2 lily pads so I could add the second one to the top of the scallop circle and trimmed around it. I inked the edges of the frog and stamped the eyes with the owl face from Peachy Keens Critter faces. For the banner I hand cut triangles and added twine to the top and bows. The water lilies were cut from Flower Shoppe. I cut several layers for each one and bend the ends up. The centers were also cut from Flower Shoppe and when they were put together I sprayed them with Pearl Mist. To finish I added a hand cut tag and stamped it and the lily pad with stamps from Whimsical Designs Everyday Sentiments.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. Birthday Sundaes- Easel Birthday card
2. Die Cuttin Diva's- Anything Goes
I hope you all like my card and thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

"Love Is In The Air" Whimsical Wednesday Challenge

Hello everyone! It's time for a new Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. This time the challenge is to create a Valentine's Day home decor, or any home decor project that has to do with LOVE.
I created this paper basket. It was kind of a pain to put togehter and quite time consuming but I like how it turned out. I found THIS pattern and used it to create my basket.
For the sides I made paper flowers using Flower Shoppe and added heart brads to the centers. For the front I added that super cute owl sticker that was from a set that I bought at Wal-Mart for .97 cents! I hand cut the tag and stamped it with a stamp from Whimsical Designs With Love stamp set and glued it behind the sticker. Don't you just LOVE that sentiment! To finish I added the handle which I punched with a Martha Stewart border punch. Here is a picture of the stamp set I used:
I hope you all will play along in the challenge and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the Design Team has made. Have a great day!
