Clown Face Tutorial

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at Peachy Keen and I am sharing a tutorial with you today.
These NEW Clowning Around Faces are so fun and I am going to share with you how I added the face with the large glasses to my Sneak Peek die cut project last week. For this project I am working with the Clowning Around 1 1/8 Inch Faces

The reason I am sharing this technique is that the face stamp is bigger than the die cut head. (See example 1 in photo below)  In order to get the full effect of this super cute face, you have to be a little futsy with it.

Here is a picture of the supplies I used. I choose to color my faces with Copic Markers, but you can accomplish the same look with using flesh colored cardstock.

SUPPLIES
Clown (head)- Cute Little Circus
X-Acto Knife
Copic Markers- E51 Milky White, E21 Baby Skin Pink, and R20 Blush
Scissors and piece of white paper

As you can see from the picture below, the stamped face goes over the sides of the die cut face. So you will stamp the face onto the die cut head centering it and also the full face onto a piece of white paper.

Next you are going to cut out the center of the eyeglasses with an X-Acto Knife going around the nose also. After the centers are cut out, then you will cut out around the outside with scissors. You are then left with the pair of glasses and nose.
* A Tip: After the glasses are cut out, you might be able to see a little white around the edges. I take a black marker and run it around the inside edges to cover any white showing through. Just be careful around the nose.

I colored my face with Copic markers and then glued the glasses over the top of your stamped image. I also use a white gel pen to add the highlights to insides of the glasses, his freckles, and nose highlight.
And there you have it! It's all ready to be added to your die cut clown. Super cute and well worth the little bit of extra time it takes to do this.

Heheheehe! This card turned out so cute and it made me laugh! I will admit, I am not a big clown lover. In fact they SCARE me LOL! BUT these clowns Kathy has designed are BEYOND CUTE! They just make me smile and I hope they do you too.

I cut the cannon from the Cute Little Circus file and added the head from the PKSC-30 June 2014 SOTM set. I used the Ticket Dies to cut out the tickets and then stamped the ticket shape onto them using the June SOTM set. The sentiment stamped into the centers is from the Clown Car and Elephant stamp set and I added yellow dots to the ends with a Copic Marker.
To finish, I added some pennant banners to the side of the card and some sequins in matching colors.

Peachy Keen June Release Day 4

Welcome, friends!
WOW!  This round of sneak peeks has flown by and here we are at our last day of peeks before the big release and reveal tomorrow!
It’s been a great few days of sharing the circus fun with you and tonight we’re winding down sneak peeks but ramping up the fun and excitement with  the adorable and versatile Little Peanut stamp set, and these new (MUST HAVE) Peachy Keen Clowning Around Faces!

Here is what I created for my projects today! I made these super cute treat bags using the NEW PK Clowning Around 1 1/8 inch face stamps. These are so stinkin cute, they just make me smile!

I created the toppers by cutting the base from the Jaded Blossom Layered Frame and Journal Die and folded them in half. I attached them to a 2.25 X 8 inch Clear Bag that I filled with candy.
The clowns were cut from the Cute Little Circus cut file and I stamped each of their faces with the NEW Clowning Around 1 1/8 inch face stamps. I also gave them all either a hat or bow.
The glasses boy has the hat from the PKSC-30 June 2014 SOTM set and sentiment from the Little Peanut stamp set.
The girl has the bow from the Little Peanut stamp set and the sentiment from the Clown Car and Elephant stamp set.
The boy without glasses has the hat from the PKSC-30 June 2014 SOTM set and the sentiment from the Clown Car and Elephant stamp set.

PRIZE ALERT!
How about a prize?  It just wouldn’t be a Peachy Keen Event without a prize, so leave your comment here, on the PKS Blog and on our designer blogs for a chance to win the sets you see showcased tonight!  That’s THREE sets to one lucky person just for commenting, and the more comments, the more chances to win!  Good luck to you!!!

This is what I created for the hop!

I created a card and lolli pop holder! I used the 3 Little Witches file from Too Cute By Jessica. Isn't she ADORABLE!
I cut the witch and potion bottle out using my Cameo and stamped the girls face with a Peachy Keen Sweet and Innocent face stamp. I also stamped the sentiment circle and sentiment using Peachy Keen's PKSC-22 October 2013 SOTM kit.
I created the lolli pop holder by cutting a 3 X 6 1/2 inch piece of cardstock and scored it at 3 and 3 1/2. I added a punched Drippy Goo border to the top and punched some holes. I closed it up with some twine after I added the lolli inside.

Peachy Keen and Timeless Twine Halloween

Good morning everyone and happy Saturday!
We are continuing our showcase of projects using Peachy Keen Stamps and Timeless Twine. These two make an awesome combination! If you missed any of the other projects, just head over to The Peachy Keen Blog to see more fabulous projects!

Here is what I created for you today- some FUN Halloween projects!

For the card I used a cut file from Too Cute By Jessica called Zombies and stamped the face using Peachy Keen's Monster Mash Face Assortment. I cut two 1 inch strips of black paper and punched holes into them and used some Olive Green and White Timeless Twine to lace them together. I mounted it under my other layers and stamped the sentiment using PK's PKSC-09 September 2012 Stamp Of The Month set.

I cut the treat tag using my Cricut and Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I added a band of decorative paper and some Olive Green and White Timeless Twine to the body and tag pull. I stamped an colored the bat and sentiment using PK's PKSC-09 September 2012 stamp set. I used My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies Dies to cut out the circle tag and attached it using the twine. To finish I added a mini candy bar to the inside.

I hope you liked my projects today and are inspired to go create something yourself! Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Peachy Keen Release Party Challenge Cards

Hello everyone! I wanted to share the cards that I made for the Release Party Challenges going on now at The Peachy Keen Connection.

The first card is for the challenge that I am hosting! The details for this challenge is to use any Peachy Keen Face of your choice and at least 1 Die Cut.
I cut that UBER cute costume puppy from the Costume Babies 1 file from Too Cute By Jessica. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen In The Garden Face Set and the sentiment is from the PKSC- 20 August 2013 Stamp Of The Month set.

For my second card for Ambers challenge, you were to use your favorite colors and an arrow. I stamped and colored the fridge using Peachy Keen's New Retro Fridge stamp set. I used my sewing machine to do a stitched line around and added an arrow that I cut from SVG Cutting Files Tons Of Arrows
I wanted my fridge to open, so I used an X-acto knife to cut around the doors. Then I stamped a background piece with a light bulb and sentiment on the bottom and on the top I hand drew some ice cubes that I stamped faces onto.

I hope you all will play along in the challenges which can be found at The Peachy Keen Connection.
You can also buy all the NEW stamps NOW at Peachy Keen!
Have a great day!
