Free Snowmen

Hello everyone! We're getting back to normal after the holidays with a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Frosty Days" Winter themed projects.
I was inspired to make this card from the sentiment. It's such a fun sentiment and couldn't wait to do something with it.
I used quite a few different Cricut carts in this card...thank goodness for my Gypsy!
The circles for the snowman were cut  from George and I hand cut the arms. The carrot and scarf were cut from Winter Frolic and I hand drew in the lines for the scarf and added stickles. The hat was cut from CAC2 and the sign from Freshly Picked. I stamped the sentiment from My Craft Spots Think Snow stamp set and then embossed it with the Tim Holtz Woodgrain folder. To add some shimmer to this card, I added glitter to the snowman and snow layer at the bottom.
I hope you all will play along this week and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! Have a great day!

I Ain't Lion, I'm A Bear!

Good morning everyone! Last night was the Release Party at The Peachy Keen Connection and they revealed all the new stamps! OMG! They are SO cute! You can see the full release HERE and all the wonderful inspiration from the DT HERE.
This is a card that I literally finished right before the party. After the party was over, I had to run out the door to go watch the Packer game! GO PACK GO!....So that's why this is a little late! LOL!
Before I get to the detail on my card above, I want to share the stamp set that I used. This is Peachy Keens January 2013 SOTM.
Isn't is AMAZING?! I LOVE this fun set!

I created my lion by using the bear head and hair. I stamped and cut out 7 pieces of hair to create the mane and pop dotted the top one. For the face I used PK's Here Kitty Kitty and also used the muzzle stamp from the SOTM set. I colored the face with Copics and used a white gel pen to color in the eyes and muzzle. I mounted him to a matted circle that I cut with my Cricut and stamped the sentiment. To finish I paper pieced the paws and pop dotted them to the card and added a ribbon.
I hope you all like seeing my card and the new stamps! They have a fun challenge going until January 8th at midnight HERE and the prize is a $50 Peachy Keen gift certificate! The challenge is to create a project using something NEW. Like new paper, pens, stamps, etc.
I hope you all will come play and have a great day!

Peachy Keen Sneak Peek #2

Hello everyone! I have another Peachy Keen Sneak Peek to share with you! These bears are so cute, they're hard to resist!
This is a Treat Cup Slider Card and you can find a wonderful TUTORIAL for them HERE. The purpose to this card is being able to get the candy out without tearing the card apart.
I created my Treat Cup Slider card using the tutorial and then decorated it. I stamped and paper pieced the bear from the NEW January 2013 Stamp Of The Month Kit. I colored her with Copic's and added some white freckles and eyes with a white gel pen. I mounded her pieces with pop dots to give her some height. I added the chocolate heart inside the cup holder and used a little ATG tape on the front to hold it in place. I stamped the sentiment and mounted it to some red cardstock and placed it at the bottom.
For the pull up tag I used a heart punch and punched a tag pull and stamped that cute "I WUB YOU" as a secret message for when they open the card.
I hope you all enjoyed seeing my sneaks this week and head over to Peachy Keen to see more wonderful creations with these new stamps. Also don't forget to come to the RELEASE PARTY on Saturday Jan. 5th at 6 PM at The Peachy Keen Connection where all the stamps will be revealed. There will also be a challenge and you could win a prize!
Have a wonderful day!
UPDATE: I've had a lot of questions as to where I got my treat cups. I got them from Stampin' Up and you can find them in their catalog HERE.

Peachy Keen Sneak Peek!

Hello everyone! It's my first post as a Peachy Keen Designer and we are giving sneak peeks of the upcoming release! These stamps are SOOO cute! You are going to just LOVE them!
I created this get well card using one of the new add on stamp sets. I colored the bear with Copic markers and added stickles to the dots. I used a hole poker and poked holes around the white mat and distressed the rest of the edges. I stamped the sentiment and attached it with some heart brads. To finish I added a bow with another heart brad.
Head over to the Peachy Keen Blog to see more of these super cute sneak peeks all week long! And come join in the fun on Saturday at 6 pm at the Peachy Keen Connection for the full release party! You won't be disappointed.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping in!

Congratulations!

Hello everyone and Happy New Years Eve! I am finally back from the holidays and then my brother got married on Sat. so we were out of town.
This is the card that I made for my brother and his new wife. It's just too bad that I forgot it here at home! LOL! So me, the card maker in the family had to BUY a card! EEK!
I stamped and colored the glasses and banner using Peachy Keen's December SOTM kit. I covered the glasses with Glossy Accents and stickles for the bubbles. The background was embossed with a cuttlebug folder and I did some inking. I cut out the banner and stamped that wonderful sentiment from My Craft Spot's Happily Ever After stamp set and also added stickle dots.
I hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve and thanks for stopping in.
I will be picking the winner for the PK face stamps tomorrow, so if you haven't entered yet, do so before tomorrow!
