MPS Design Team Call

Hello everyone! My Pink Stamperhttp://www.mypinkstamper.com/ is holding another Design Team call and I am giving it a go! I love Robyn and her blog. She was the first person I used as a tutor when I first got into "cricuting" and learned so much from her. I would LOVE to be on her DT! For the DT challenge you are to make a project with your favorite Cricut cart and with the colors: orange, green, turquoise, brown and an optional color. I stuck with those 4 colors and didn't add another.

Recipe

Cricut Cartridges: Twinkle Toes (alligator cut at 3 inches) Birthday Bash (banner cut at 3/4 of an inch and font cut at 1/2 inch)

Kraft cardstock

Recollections designer paper pad Bright and Basics

Celebrate It ribbon

Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots folder

Studio G stamp

Stamp'n Up Chocolate Chip Ink

Chalk for cheek

Uniball white pen

ATG gun

Scotch Quick Dry glue

Pop Dots

I hope you all like my card and thanks for looking! Have a great weekend!

P.S. I just wanted to add this in in case anyone else is having a problem with Blogger and not being able to post. I just recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 9 and I couldn't post! If this is the problem you are having I will tell you the EASY way to fix it instead of sitting on your computer for an hour trying to figure it out. When you open the blogger page (or any page) up in the address bar there is the search, the broken piece of paper, refresh, and close. That piece of broken paper is your problem. You need to click on that to make it blue instead of gray and it will fix the problem. If it doesn't work, I am sorry, but this has worked for me ( aside from still not being able to post a link by highlighting) and I have been FREAKING out! :) Hope this can help at least 1 person!

Bug Bites Bug Hop Challenge

Hello everyone! Here is the card that I made For BugBites Grillin N Chillin Bug Hop Challenge #2. For the challenge you must include a Cricut cut and a hidden bug found on the hop. When I think of summer and "chillin" I think of the beach. So this is the card that I created. I cut the girl from Twinkle Toes at 3.5 inches. I cut her leatard and then trimmed around the arms to get her swimsuit. For the tube I used the tube from the image on pg. 40 of Pack Your Bags. I copied it, flipped the second one and welded them together to get the whole tube. I just then needed to trim off the bottom where the shorts were. I also stamped her face with a Peachy Keen stamp, added glossy Accents to the tube, and penned in her flip flops. The beach scene was cut from Pack Your Bags at approximatley 5 inches that I stretched. I added Glossy Accents to the waves and highlighted them with a white pen. The crab was also cut from PYB's at .5 inches. And finally for my BUG...do you see it? I added a ladybug to the pail. I used a hole punch for the body and drew in the head and spots with a black pen and added Glossy Accents to it. I hope you all are having a great day and thanks for looking!

Dance Team Scrap Page

Good morning everyone! I have to tell you first that I had a realization that my niece graduates is less than 3 months! And I have to complete her scrapbook before then! I just attended her LAST Dance Team show on Friday and I can't believe how fast time goes. So I started her scrapbook this weekend with this being the first of many to come. I cut the girl from Twinkle Toes at 3 inches and the phrase at 3 inches. The mats were cut at 10.5 and 10.75 inches. I cut the title from Robots at 1 inch. I kept the colors all from her school colors. I am going to enter this into Flaunt It Fridays where the challenge is to use Twinkle Toes. Have a great day everyone!

Celebrate The Occasion Challenge #1

Hello everyone! Here is my DT project for this weeks Celebrate The Occasion challenge. This week the challenge is Kid's Birthday. I started this project with a simple box that measures 5 inches high X 1.5 inches wide X 3 inches tall. I then cut a 4 7/8 X 6.25 inch piece of cardstock that I rounded the corners with my corner punch and a mat layer that was cut at 4.75 X 6 that I also rounded the corners. I glued this piece to the back inside of the box to get the back. I added a 2.5 inch strip of matching paper around the center of the box. The girl was cut from Twinkle Toes at 4 inches and the frame on top of box with the stamped sentiment was cut at 1.5 inches also from Twinkle Toes. The cake was cut from Simply Charmed at 2.5 inches that I hid the face layers in my Gypsy. I embossed the layers of the cake with my Cuttlebug and used my white gel pen to highlight the cake and girl. To finish I added a bar of soap and bottle of lotion as a gift. I hope you will go check out this weeks challenge at Celebrate The Occasion and I look forward to seeing YOUR creations! Make sure you come back here for our Valentine Blog Hop on Saturday Feb. 12th! Take care and happy paper crafting!

Cricut Cardz #59 Childs Valentine

Happy Sunday all! Before I get to my post I was just wondering if you all had seen the new products coming out at CHA this weekend? A NEW CRICUT EXPRESSION 2? That cuts both Cricut AND Imagine cartridges!!! I just want to say....I'm in trouble! :) LOL! There are so many cute Imagine carts that I have been jealous not to be able to use...but now??? Anyway, on to my post.
I made another one of these candy box's! They are so fun to make and SO darn cute! If you haven't seen my other one, you can find it HERE along with where to find the tutorial. This time I decided to make the box a little bigger in order to fill it with more goodies. I cut the scallop hearts from Twinkle Toes and 5 inches along with the layered heart which I ran through my Cuttlebug. I cut the elephant from Birthday Bash at 3 inches, stamped the sentiment, and tied a ribbon around the box. I am entering this into Cricut Cardz Challenge which is to make a childs Valentine. I hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Flaunt It Fridays #6

Hi all! I think I am in the Valentine and Hello Kitty mood! :) I made this Valentine box for Flaunt It Fridays challenge this week which was the Hello Kitty in her plane. I made the box by cutting 2 scallop hearts from Twinlke Toes at 5 inches. I made a top and bottom box piece from a 4 in. square and 4 and 1/8 inch square and glued them to the top and bottom scallop hearts. I found a tutorial for the box here. I cut the pink heart out of Twinkle Toes at 4.75 inches and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder and inked white over the dots. HK was cut from HK Greetings at 2.75 inches and I added a white jem to the plane propeller using my I-rock and glossy accents for her nose and hair bow. The "be mine" was cut from Simply Charmed at 1.61 inches as well and the shadow. To finish I tied a ribbon at angle across the box.
I hope you all are having a great weekend!

Birthday Tri-Fold Card

HI everyone! I'm BACK!!! :) And I got Twinkle Toes and Four Legged Friends for Christmas! I am SO EXCITED! These carts are so cute! For my card I cut the alligator and all the frames from Twinkle Toes. The cake is cut from Smiley Cards and the balloons were cut from Once Upon A Princess. The "eat cake" is a stamp and the sentiment on the side I printed off my computer. I found a tutorial here for this kind of Tri-Fold card....it's a YouTube video. This card is for my Mom for her birthday which is today.....I hope she thinks it's as cute as I do. Have a great day everyone!
