Pop Up Gift Card Purse

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Gift Card Holders".
I made this fun purse style pop up gift card holder for my project. This is a file from the Silhouette Online Store called Sliding Gift Card Holder: Purse, Isn't this the cutest gift card holder?!!
I cut the purse out of Glittered Cardstock and added a strip of black to the bottom that I used a border punch on. The center flap I added some velcro to keep it closed and added the Tiny Doily Die to the top. I used My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies Dies to cut out the dies and Stampin Around Summer for the sentiment. To finish I added a metal button to the center and a gift card to the inside.
(I only had a Joann's card to use as show which I thought was funny because I would've been ecstatic to get that for my wedding...LOL!)

I hope you all liked my project today and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created. Have a wonderful day!

Christmas Tags

Hello everyone! We are starting to come to the end of the Christmas In July theme and wanted to quickly share this tags with you.
These are so fast to make and anyone would be awed that you made your own tags for Christmas presents.

I used Peachy Keen's Smitten Mitten stamp set to create these fun guys. I stamped them onto a sheet of paper leaving enough room at the bottom to stamp the sentiment tag. The sentiment tag is from Peachy Keen's Happy Snowman With Label. Then I paper pieced the mittens and colored the faces with Copic markers. I hand trimmed around the entire thing to get the tag shape and stamped the "To and From" using My Craft Spot's Always and Forever stamp set. To finish I punched holes in the heads and added some twine ties.

Don't forget to check out the last few days of the Christmas In July sale going on at Peachy Keen! There are some really fantastic deals!

Bear Thank You Cards

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at My Craft Spot and I have a set of cards to share with you today.

My SIL had been in the hospital for a hurt back and she had been getting lots of flowers, balloons, etc. So I thought I would make her some Thank You cards to give to these special people. She happens to LOVE bears so these are perfect for her....unless she decides they're too cute to give away! LOL!

I cut the bears using my Cameo and a cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs called Sharing the Love. I split the 2 bears up and created two cards out of this one cut file.
The background mat is a piece of shaped paper out of the DCWV 4 1/2 X 6 1/2 Dots mat stack. I simply cut the sheet in half and used them for my card background mats.
I tied silky bows to the sides of the cards and stamped the sentiments using My Craft Spot's Thank You stamp set.

I hope you all liked my cards and thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Sew Fun" Hand or machine stitch on your project.

I made this card for my project today. Stitching with my sewing machine on cards is one of my favorite things to do. And not to mention that is all my poor sewing machine gets used for anymore...lol!
I cut the Koala Bear/Ostrich from a Lettering Delights file called Over Koala-Fied.
I used My Craft Spot's Lacy Banner Dies to create the banner and stamped the sentiment using My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 3 stamp set. I used my sewing machine to stitch the top of the tag and along the strip of paper. To finish I added some sticker gems.

I hope you will all play along in the challenge and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! Have a great day!

Peachy Keen Money/Gift Card Holder Challenge and Tutorial

Hello everyone and Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share the project that I made for Peachy Keen's challenge this week. I am also going to include a simple tutorial for how I created this.

This week the challenge is Just Cards- "Show Me The Money" or gift cards
 THE CHALLENGE
Create a card that incorporates a gift card holder or money slot!
We'll be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and  our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!
Guidelines:
- Design must be new
- Link up by 7/24 - 11:59 pm EST

I created this envelope style card/gift card holder.

You will need to cut a 2 3/4 inch X 8 1/2 inch piece of cardstock. With the long side up, score at 1 1/2 and 5 1/2. I also used a oval punch to punch part of a circle out of short end and rounded the corners on the flap.

I cut my DP paper 1/8 inch small than the panels and sewed them on with my sewing machine. I also added some sticky velcro dots that were cut in half for the closure on the pocket flap. I glued it down the sides with sticky strip and folded it up. Now you're ready to decorate!

I stamped and paper pieced the chick using Peachy Keen's April 2013 SOTM kit. I stamped the legs directly onto the mat and pop dotted the chick's body. I added some buttons and twine to the flap and stamped the sentiment using Peachy Keen's Honey Sentiments.

I hope you all enjoyed seeing my project today and will play along in the challenge.
 Have a great weekend!

Merry Christmas From The North Pole

Hello everyone and Happy Friday! I am looking forward to the weekend...how about you?
I have a card to share with you that I made using the new Peachy Keen July SOTM kit. I am really having fun creating these Christmas cards and will be very happy that I did when the holiday season comes!

I stamped and colored the penguin using the Peachy Keen July SOTM kit and the tree I paper pieced using the Peachy Keen Santa Tree stamp set. I added punched circles using glittered cardstock that I bought at Michaels for the ornaments and added one to the penguins hand. I tore a piece of paper for the snow and added that fun stamped postage mark using stamps from My Craft Spot's Postage Stamps stamp set. I also stamped the sentiment at the top of the card using PK's November 2012 SOTM set and added some ribbon to the corner.
I hope you all liked my card and thanks for visiting! Have a great weekend!

Make sure you check out all the wonderful sales Peachy Keen has going the entire month of July!

Minnie Mouse Clipboard

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at My Craft Spot and I wanted to share this project with you all. I just LOVE My Craft Spot's NEW Small Alphabet Metal Dies and I thought you would like to see what I did with them.

I made this super fun Minnie Mouse clipboard.

Minnie couldn't be more happy about her To Do List! LOL!

How neat did this turn out?!?! I was so happy with the end result that I just smiled :D But then again, anything Disney ALWAYS makes me smile!

I bought the clipboard from the $1 Store and covered it with paper. Minnie was cut from a Blog Hop special file from SVG Cutting Files that was only available during that hop. I added Glossy Accents to her shoes and glasses and some black stickles to her tie.
I used My Craft Spot's Small Alphabet Metal Dies to cut out the letters to make up the "To Do List" and glued them on. The notepad I matted in black and glued it to the board. To finish I added tied ribbons to the pen holder at the top and added a key ring at the bottom with some more ribbons.

In case you haven't seen them yet, here are the Small Alphabet Metal Dies

I hope you all enjoyed seeing my project and thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

I used My Craft Spot's Small Alphabet Dies for the layered stars on the tag and tied a Chocolate Brown Crinkle Ribbon to the top. The background strip of paper is stamped using My Craft Spot's Patterns Blocks and the sentiment is from MCS's Mistletoe stamp set.

Sit Back And Relax

I used some burlap for the background on my Tiny Doily Die.

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at My Craft Spot and I have a super cute card to share.

This card came out just adorable! I LOVE this fun cut! It's called Just Chillin and it's from SVG Cutting Files.
I stamped his face with a Peachy Keen Moodies face and mounted the cut on pop dots. The card is cut from Birthday Bash and I hand cut the bottom off to make it flat. I also added a big circle to the background for the sun and a torn strip for the sand.
I used My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies Dies to cut out the paper and burlap. I stamped the sentiment from the NEW Stampin Around Summer and added some Vintage Chocolate Twine to the bottom.
I am going to enter this into the SVG Cutting Files June Heat Wave Challenge

MORE Peachy Keen July Release Cards

Hello everyone! I wanted to share a few more cards that I did with the NEW July stamps that Peachy Keen came out with. Did you see that the theme this month is Christmas In July? How fun is that?!?!

For my first card I made a winter birthday card. I used one of the new add on sets called Yummies for the snowman cupcake and the Snow Me A Man set for the sentiment. I also added some Divine Valentine Twine.

For my second card I used another of the add on sets called Super Sweet. I stamped and colored the house with copic markers. I also added lots of stickles for all the glittered areas.
The gumdrop tree is from the new add on set Yummies and I simply added a strip of brown to make it into a gumdrop tree! I also glittered it using my Xyron sticker maker and some green glitter.
I stamped the sentiment from the new July SOTM set and added a punched border from the MS Drippy Goo border punch.

I hope are all enjoying the Peachy Keen Christmas In July stamps and thanks for stopping in!

Also, don't forget that all of these stamps are on sale now.

Have A Holly Jolly Christmas

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at Peachy Keen.
Did you see that Peachy Keen is all about Christmas In July this month? And how CUTE are the new stamps?
Well, I am continuing with the Christmas In July with a fun card to share.

HOW cute is this fun tree?!?!?!

I used Peachy Keen's Santa Tree stamp set for this card. This is such a fun stamp set! I had a ball creating this card...I almost had to turn on my Christmas music! LOL!
I stamped and paper pieced the tree using some Copic markers to highlight and shade him. I also stamped the face and colored it in with copics and a white gel pen.
The background of this card is heat embossed using some sparkle embossing powder and I used the larger "HO" stamp to do it.
I stamped the sentiment onto a My Craft Spot Tiny Doilies Die and stamped the sentiment onto the snow layer.
To finish I added a line of glitter using a Viva Decor Glitter Pen.

Here is the stamp set that I used to create this fun card!

I hope you all enjoyed seeing my card and thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Cupcake!

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is "Wrap It Up" -packaging, gift boxes, bags, etc.

I made this cute Birthday Gift bag for my project.
I cut the bag using a file from The Silhouette Online Store and added some Sheer White Ribbon to the top. I did this by using my ATG gun and ran some tape along the top edge. Then I took some Sheer White Ribbon and folded it back and forth over the glue.
The cupcake is cut from Simply Charmed and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Sweet and Innocent face. I also added some Glossy Accents to the cherry and dotted it on the cupcake for sprinkles.
I made the tag and stamped the sentiment using My Craft Spot's NEW Tasty Treats stamp set and attached it to the handle using more Sheer White Ribbon.

I hope you will all play along and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! Have a great day!
