I hand cut all the large banner pieces and mats. I did a black stitching line on each one and added those adorable elves that I paper pieced from the PKSC-11 November 2012 stamp kit of the month set. I stamped the boys face using the Peachy Keen Moodies face stamps and the girls with a Sweet and Innocent face.
I created the rosettes by cutting a 1 1/2 X 12 inch strip of paper and scored it every 1/4 inch all the way to the end. I folded it back and forth and glued them together. The letters and scallop circles were cut with my Cricut.
The tiny banners and mats were cut using My Craft Spot's Lacy Banner Dies and I stamped those super cute images using Peachy Keens PKSC-23 November 2013 stamp kit of the month set. I colored each one with Copic markers and added a dotted line around the mats.
And here is what I made for my second project. I saw some people asking for Christmas card ideas, so I thought I would share this one with you too.
All of the stamps I used on this card are from the PKSC-23 November 2013 stamp of the month set. I stamped the stocking onto some fancy mats that I cut with my Cricut and Elegant Edges. I paper pieced the red part that I stamped with the Peachy Keen Cableknit background stamp and also stamped the bottom half of my card with it. Is that not the most awesome stamp ever?!?! I just LOVE that background!
I stamped the buttons and hand cut them out. I punched the holes out with a hole punch and tied some jute string through them. To finish I stamped the sentiment onto a banner and mounted it with pop dots.
If you are not familiar with the Stamp Kit Of The Month program at Peachy Keen, I will explain a little about it.
It is a monthly subscription that guarantees you a new stamp kit every month. They come in a 8 1/2 X 11 inch kit that is specifically designed for that month....always something new. You do not have to order every month, they will be automatically sent to you. And you get a savings by being a subscription holder. It's like Christmas EVERY single month!
