Cell Phone Charging Holder

Hello everyone! I have a fun recycling project to show you that I did for the Fantabulous Cricut's Save The Earth Crawl challenge. The challenge is to make a project using a recycled item.
I have just recently started an account with Pintrest! OMGosh! It is so addictive, but you find some of the coolest things. That is where I found the idea for my project. You can see the full tutorial HERE.
I made a super cute charging holder station for my cell phone. I started with an empty lotion bottle and cut it into the holder shape. I found it easiest to cut by first starting with an x-acto knife and then with scissors. In the original tutorial she used fabric to cover her holder, but I used paper to cover mine. I did this with glue and decoupaged it. The hedgehog was cut from Live Simply and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed face. This was super fun to make and oh so simple! Now my cell phone has a place to rest and without cords hanging out all over the place.
I just love making things with recycled items, the possibilities are endless. I hope you liked my project and thanks for looking! Have a great night!
P.S., as a side note, you might have noticed that I changed my blog AGAIN. This is because I was getting warnings that Shabby Blogs was full of malware. Anyone else have this happen? So I changed it to the fist thing I saw and it will stay like this until I figure out what is going on! LOL!

'tis the season

Hello everyone! Here is the card that I made to enter into My Pink Stampers Christmas Challenge.
I cut the mouse from Live Simply and chalked around the edges. The ornament he's holding is from a piece of decorative paper that I cut out. The tree is from Winter Frolic and I punched circles out for the ornaments and inked around the edges. The star on top is 2 different sized star punches that I layered together. To finish I stamped the sentiment, added some twine and a punched border strip. I hope you all are having a great day and thanks for looking!

Falling Leaves

IF YOU"RE LOOKING FOR THE WHIMSICAL WEDNESDAY POST, PLEASE SEE POST BELOW!
Hello everyone! I have a card today that I made for several challenges. I had so much fun making this card and I love how it turned out.
I cut the tree from Live Simply at 3 inches. I inked the edges and did some highlighting on the owl with a black pen. The leaves are from a punch and I also inked the edges on them too. For the bottom I just tore a piece of paper, inked the edges, and added more leaves. The tag I cut by hand and stamped it with a stamp from My Craft Spots Happy Fall set. I inked the edges, added a leaf to it, and tied it on with Deep Rust colored crinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
More Than Favors CCCC- Use Live Simply
Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday- Use Country Life or similar cut. I saw a similar tree on that cartridge.
My Craft Spots Monday Challenge- Happy Harvest
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Strawberry Card

Hello everyone and HAPPY FRIDAY! This is the card that I made to enter into Fantabulous Cricuts challenge. This week the challenge is to use a melon or some other fruit.
I made the card base in my Gypsy by welding 2 scallop frames together at 5 inches from Live Simply. I cut the rest of the mats at the same size. The strawberry was cut from Simply Charmed at 3.5 inches. I printed the sentiment off my computer and hand cut the tag. To finish I added twine and attatched the tag to it. I hope you all like my card and have a great weekend!

Live Simply Thanks

Happy Friday everyone! Here is the card that I made for My Creative Times Throwback Thursday. This time the challenge is to use any Lite cart and add bling. I printed and cut all the images using my Imagine. I love how you can co-ordinate all the colors using the Imagine. I cut the mushroom at 3.5 inches and the butterfly at 1.5 inches from Live Simply. I filled all the cuts with patterns from Imagine More Cards. The frames were cut from the stock images in my Imagine and I sewed around the outside of the card. I tied floss around the mats and added a tag that I stamped. To finish I added Glossy Accents to the dots on the mushroom, the flowers and to the butterfly and pop dotted them to the card. I hope you are having a great day and enjoy the weekend!

Sugar and Spice

Hi everyone! If you're looking for the I'm So Lucky Blog Hop please see the post below this one. I made this card for Getting Cricky's Sugar and Spice Simple Sunday Challenge. The challenge is to make something that represents Sugar and Spice, so this is what I came up with. I am so happy with the way this card came out. I cut the card using the last image in Live Simply and welded it in my Gypsy to make the card. I also cut all the layers at 5.5 inches. The sock monkey was cut from B is for Boy at 3 inches. I cut 2 hats and cut off the ball and bottom band and then pop dotted them to the hat to give it more dimension. I also cut that little purse at .75 inches from Paisley. For the outsides of the card I took a hand held flower punch and punched the flowers and then used my circle punch for the insides of the flowers. To finish I stamped the sentiment and added some black stitching. I hope you all are having a great day and don't forget to come back tomorrow for the Spring Bling Blog Hop!

The birds I cut at 2 inches using the flip feature for 1 of them. To finish I stamped the sentiment, added white gel pen to the birds, and added a bow to the top. I am entering this into the following challenges:

2. Scrappy Moms Stamps- Sweethearts or similar cut

7 am CC Resist Card

7 am Cuttlebug Challenge
For this challenge you were to follow the tutorial to make a resist card. I don't own the supplies needed to do this card so I tried my own way and this is what I came up with. Instead of embossing and heating the snowflake image, I rubbed wax from a candle all over the snowflake. It didn't turn out perfect but I think the effect is kind of neat. I cut the snowflake from Accent Essentials and the scallop circle from Live Simply. The back white layer is embossed with Spots n' Dots.

3 pm CC Christmas Layout

3 pm Cuttlebug Challenge
For this challenge you were to make a scrapbook layout and do 2 kinds of dry embossing with one of them being a punch that's embossed. For my layout I cut 3 polar bears from Live Simply and tore a piece of white cardstock to make it look like snow. I then embossed it with Divine Swirls and mounted it on behind the bears. The snowflakes are punched out and them embossed with Swiss Dots. The phrase is actually fromv2 different carts. The "Christmas" is from Hoot n' Holler( Hoo loves Christmas) and the "A Wish" is from "Make A Wish" from Sweet Treats. I also added little jewels all over the page to give it some sparkle.

Polar Bear Box

Here is my entry for Fantabulous Cricut and Creatalicious Challenges. FC's challenge is Christmas in July and CC's challenge is anything goes in 3D. This "snowflake" box is actually the flower box from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cut fit to page. I trimmed the petals to a point to make it look like a snowflake. Then I cut snowflake paper 1/8 smaller than the sides of the box and glued them on to all the sides. The polar bear is cut from Live Simply and the snowflakes on the sides are cut from Accent Essentials. I cut 4 snowflakes total and glittered 2 of them and then pop dotted them to the plain ones. I also pop dotted the polar bear's legs. The top of the box I also glittered and added gems to give it lots of bling. I hope you all like it! I did get a little bling happy but I think it's cute! :)
