Save the Animals Charity Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Save the Animals Charity Blog Hop!

If you're here from STEFANI then you're in the right place. If not then you will want to start at the beginning HERE

This Blog Hop will work a little differently than our past ones. We give free SVGs all the time, and this time, we are asking YOU to give back to the Animals by donating to our fundraising campaign "Save the Animals". By donating, you can earn exclusive SVGs. Here is a look at the donation levels. And as a BONUS since your donation is going to a charity, its a tax write off!! So keep your receipt!

Here is an example of the donation screen.. When donating, please make sure to include your email address under "personal note" so that we can send you the SVGs that pertain to your donation level (it will not be published on the website)

Each person in this hop picked one animal to represent today.

I chose to work with the sea turtle for my project to bring awareness about the Hawksbill Sea Turtle. It's status is CRITICALLY ENDANGERED.

Sea turtles are the living representatives of a group of reptiles that has existed on Earth and travelled our seas for the last 100 million years. They are a fundamental link in marine ecosystems and help maintain the health of coral reefs and sea grass beds.

I would hate to see these beautiful creatures extinct. You can read more about the Hawksbill Sea Turtle HERE

Now for my project...

For my project I decided to make an altered notebook. I picked up a couple of notebooks last year at Michaels for like .50 cents each.
I covered the book with Kraft paper and added the blue mat layer to the front. I also added some cork board to the bottom and added some brads to the blue.
I cut the mat out of burlap using the Layered Frame and Journal Die and the turtle from the SVG Cutting File Sea Life file. I stamped the face on the turtle with the Peachy Keen Piles Of Smiles 1 inch faces.
I cut the sentiment tag using the Candy Wrap Dies and stamped the sentiment using the Under The Sea stamp set.

Thank you so much for checking out our Blog Hop.

  19. Sea Turtles are amazing creatures. My first scuba dive was in Hawaii and one swam with us. We took thousands of pictures. We were told prior to the dive that we had to stay away from them, which we did. I was thankful to have a larger lens on my water camera. TFS!
