Hello everyone! It's my day to post at Peachy Keen. I have a card and fun tutorial for you today! I used the skull stamp out of the NEW Clearly Autumn Quart Jar Contents stamp set to create the background on this card.
This is such a great way to make your own backgrounds and it is SO SIMPLE!
To create the background you will need the following items:
VersaMark Stamp Pad
White Chalk and Chalk Applicator
Skull Jar Filler stamp
I stamped the skulls using VersaMark Ink onto a black piece of cardstock slightly over lapping each stamped image. It is OK to overlap this stamp because it's such a busy stamp that you won't be able to see it. Let it dry for a minute and then chalk up your applicator with white chalk. Using a circular motion, cover the entire thing with white chalk. The more you rub it, the more of the white will stick to the black paper and make the skull images pop.
AND there you have it! A really fun background that was super simple to create! Now your ready to make the card!
I made the card and ghost using SVG Cutting Files Wavy Card Base and Chibi Pumpkin and Ghost files. I used my sewing machine to sew around the card and down the middle going over the banner. The banner I created using My Craft Spot's Lacy Banner Metal Dies and stamped and cut out a single skull from the jar contents stamp. I stamped the face onto the ghost using Peachy Keen's In The Garden 1 1/8 inch face stamps and pop dotted the head. The BOO sentiment was stamped using Peachy Keen's PKSC-22 October 2013 stamp of the month set.
I hope you all enjoyed my tutorial and card. Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!
