Be Mine

Hello everyone! I have a card to show you today that I designed in CCR...Cricut Craft Room. This was the first time I played with my Expression and not my Imagine using CCR. I saw this post over at Cooking With Cricut and it totally inspired me to try this out. She made her bee using nothing but Spellbinders dies where as I used nothing but CCR and George and Basic Shapes. Here is a picture of the screen on my computer so you can see the shapes that I used to make this cutie

The stripes I had to trim down after I glued them onto the body and for the face I did NOT weld the triangle so it would cut that out of the oval. The small oval is what I used for the antenna's by cutting a strip off each side. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyes Kids face stamp and used a white pen for the highlighting. (This flesh colored cardstock is from Archivers and I just HATE that it has those stripes to it. Can anybody suggest where to get flesh colored cardstock? I only buy it at Archivers because I can't find it anywhere else.) To finish I added some ribbon and stamped the sentiment which is from Whimsical Designs With Love stamp set.
I have been so inspired by this that I am going to see what else I can create in CCR using just shapes.
I hope you all have a great day and thanks for looking!

Your sweet little love bug turned out the CUTEST!!!!! I may just have to play around and create something like this again! Thanks for the beautiful inspiration! Hugs- Glora

  2. Flesh tone is sooo hard to come by. If you find one please post it. The closest I've found so far is actually a metalic peach/nude sold at paperworks. Good luck. LOVE your style!

  13. The best flesh coloured paper I use is the DCWV pastel colours. You don't get many but I make a lot of baby cards and I use my PK stamps Just Baby Faces.

  15. I know this is an old post and so many people ask where they get their fleshtone cardstock so I thought I would let you know where I got mine. It's been a couple years since I ordered it online, but I got mine at O'Scrap. It's double-sided with a small checked pattern on the opposite side. To me, this is the perfect fleshtone. Let me know what you think. By the way, I just found your blog and am getting so much inspiration from all of your beautiful work!!!!!
