Squaredy Cats

Hello everyone! I have a couple of Squaredy Cat cards to share with you today. I just love these guys! There is something for everyone, that's for sure.

For the first one, I used New Mexico.

Don't you just love his fun eyes! He's a little alien.
I started with the SVG Cutting Files Trapezoid Card Base and added the NM Squaredy Cat. I used a gray marker to outline him and a white pen for the accents.
I hand cut the sentiment bubble from decorative paper and stamped the sentiment from the Peachy Keen February 2013 SOTM set.

For the second card I used Oregon. She's got a fun Davy Crocket hat and umbrella.
I made this one into a shaped card in my Silhouette Designers Edition. I added some outlining with markers and used a white gel pen for the whiskers.
I stamped the sentiment right onto his hat using the Jaded Blossom Happy Summer stamp set.

I hope you liked my cards and thanks for visiting.
Make sure to check out all the amazingly cute Squaredy Cats at SVG Cutting Files.
Have a great day!

Also, just a reminder that the Back To School Challenge is still going on at SVG Cutting Files! Come play along for a chance at a gift certificate! You can find all the details HERE

Hello Princess-Elsa

Hello everyone! I wanted to share the card that I made with the Frozen Chibi Elsa. This was a freebie during the Frozen Mini Blog Hop. If you happened to miss it, there are ALWAYS hops going on. Make sure you are a Facebook Fan of both SVG Cutting Files Galleria and Jaded Blossom's Garden Of Creativity so you don't miss out on them!

I cut the card base using the SVG Cutting Files Oval Card Base and cut out Elsa using the free file.
I added some white dots to her eyes and cheeks with a white gel pen.
I also added some glitter to her dress and I hand cut the bow in her hair.
I used snowflake punches to add the snowflakes and stamped the sentiment using the NEW Jaded Blossom Hello Hello stamp set.

I hope you all liked my card and thanks for visiting!

Save the Animals Charity Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Save the Animals Charity Blog Hop!

If you're here from STEFANI then you're in the right place. If not then you will want to start at the beginning HERE

This Blog Hop will work a little differently than our past ones. We give free SVGs all the time, and this time, we are asking YOU to give back to the Animals by donating to our fundraising campaign "Save the Animals". By donating, you can earn exclusive SVGs. Here is a look at the donation levels. And as a BONUS since your donation is going to a charity, its a tax write off!! So keep your receipt!

Here is an example of the donation screen.. When donating, please make sure to include your email address under "personal note" so that we can send you the SVGs that pertain to your donation level (it will not be published on the website)

Each person in this hop picked one animal to represent today.

I chose to work with the sea turtle for my project to bring awareness about the Hawksbill Sea Turtle. It's status is CRITICALLY ENDANGERED.

Sea turtles are the living representatives of a group of reptiles that has existed on Earth and travelled our seas for the last 100 million years. They are a fundamental link in marine ecosystems and help maintain the health of coral reefs and sea grass beds.

I would hate to see these beautiful creatures extinct. You can read more about the Hawksbill Sea Turtle HERE

Now for my project...

For my project I decided to make an altered notebook. I picked up a couple of notebooks last year at Michaels for like .50 cents each.
I covered the book with Kraft paper and added the blue mat layer to the front. I also added some cork board to the bottom and added some brads to the blue.
I cut the mat out of burlap using the Layered Frame and Journal Die and the turtle from the SVG Cutting File Sea Life file. I stamped the face on the turtle with the Peachy Keen Piles Of Smiles 1 inch faces.
I cut the sentiment tag using the Candy Wrap Dies and stamped the sentiment using the Under The Sea stamp set.

Thank you so much for checking out our Blog Hop.

Summer Time Treats

Hello everyone! I am sharing a fun project I made with another super cute Squaredy Cat. This one's name is Zanie! She is a multi-colored cutie pie! And I just LOVE her sunglasses!

This was a super fast and fun project to make. I cut Zanie out and added some highlights with a white gel pen. I also added some Glossy Accents to her glasses.
The topper was created with the Layered Frame and Journal Die. I folded a piece of paper in half and then lined up the fold just inside the the edge of the die so when I cut it out, it left the top folded together.
I added the topper to a 3X4 Clear Bag filled with Laffy Taffy.
I cut the flag using the Treat Flag Die and added a straw to it. I stamped the sentiment onto the tag using the Happy Summer stamp set and colored it with Copic markers.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my project and thanks for visiting!
Have a great day!

PEACHY KEEN CHALLENGE POST JUST BELOW!

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at SVG Cutting Files. This month the challenge is to create a Back To School Treat.

Here is what I created for this challenge.

I cut the apple from the Kawaii Nerdy School file and stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Clowning Around face stamp. I added a ribbon and bow and stamped the sentiment from the Jaded Blossom School Rocks stamp set.

I hope you all liked my project and will play along in the challenge!

Happy Summer

Hello everyone! We are getting back to our new schedule for the challenges at Peachy Keen. We are now going to have 1 challenge a month, so you have more time to play! There will be a sketch AND Inspiration Picture to choose from. You can use any or all if you wish.

Here is the sketch and inspiration picture for this month's challenge

I chose to work with the inspiration picture. I LOVE summer and am trying to hold onto it as long as possible! LOL!
Here is what I created

I stamped the umbrella, sand pail, and shovel using the PKSC-18 June 2013 SOTM set. This is one of my fav stamp sets, it's so fun!
I paper pieced all of the images and then stamped the faces with the NEW Christmas In July Face Assortment stamps! YUP! They're NOT just for Christmas! They sure are cute on these!
I created a background using the inspiration picture and added glittery sand to the sand bucket, the bottom, and top edge of the brown. I stamped the sentiment onto a banner that I cut by hand and added some twine to the bottom.

I hope you all will play along in the challenge and thanks for visiting!
Have a great day!

Snowman Gift Bag

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a project I did with the NEW Peachy Pieces. What are Peachy Pieces? They are SVG's that are designed from Kathy J's (Creator of Peachy Keen Stamps) stamps. You can see what they have in the store right now HERE.

I made this adorable gift bag for my project today

I LOVE this snowman! She is so cute with her stringy hat, mitten, and scarf.
I cut out the Smile Snowman Pieceable at 4 1/2 inches and stamped her face with the new Christmas In July face assortment. I added some highlights with Copic markers and gave her jingle bell brads on her belly.
I stamped the background of the bag using the stamps out of the Smile Snowman stamp set and added red dots with a Copic Marker.
To finish, I added a decorative strip to the bottom of the bag and a bow to the handle.
I hope you all enjoyed seeing my project and thanks for visiting.
Have a great day!

This die did sell out immediately, but don't fret! It will be back in stock around July 11th!
In the meantime, I would like to share my latest creation with it

We've seen all kinds of project with the Candy Caddy Die being used with a side view, so today I wanted to share what a fun project it turns out to be when you use it the long way.

I cut the kitty head and tail from the SVG Cutting File Peeking Cat Sign Board. I only cut the head and tail and then added them to the ends of the candy tray using pop dots.
I used the Candy Wrap Dies to cut out the decorative paper covering the candies and added them to the tray.
I cut the outside wrapper and added the sentiment banner cut using the Candy Wrap Dies and stamped the sentiment from the Go Wild stamp set. I also stamped the cupcakes to the sides using the Kawaii Candies stamp set.

I cut circle mats with my Cameo and added a bow to it, then added the penguin on top.
I cut out the scallop border strip using the Jaded Blossom Candy Wrap Dies. I let my pattern paper do the job for the sentiment and added a stamped and colored holly leaf to the corner.

South Carolina Squaredy Cat

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at SVG Cutting Files and I am sharing another fun Squaredy Cat card today. This time I am sharing the South Carolina themed one.

I just love this SC Squaredy Cat! The cute backwards hat and surf board are so fun.
I created the card base in my Silhouette program using the South Carolina State file. Before I welded it all together, I layered all my shapes together and welded it all so I knew the exact placement.
I cut the South Carolina Squaredy Cat and South Carolina title that is included with the South Carolina State file and mounted it to the front of the card.

I hope you liked my card and thanks for visiting!
Have a great day!

Hope You Dig Your Summer

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Jaded Blossom. This month the challenge is "Summer" Create something with a summer theme.

I made up this fun sand bucket for my 2 year old nephew and added that adorable tag I made using my Jaded Blossom supplies.

I added some bubbles, a fish lollipop, a bouncy ball, and a plush shark.

I cut that adorable little boy from the SVG Cutting Files Surfer Boy Corey file and stamped his face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids stamp.
The tag was cut using the Jaded Blossom Layered Frame and Journal Die and I added a layer of sand at the bottom also cut with the die. I cut the sentiment banner using the Candy Charms and Banner Dies and stamped the sentiment from the School Rocks stamp set. I attached the boy with pop dots and punched a hole in the upper corner. I thread some twine through the tag and tied it to the bucket handle.

I hope you all will play along in the challenge!

Here is what I created for your viewing pleasure this evening....

I made 2 Christmas cards to share with you today.
I just LOVE these super cute ornaments in the SOTM set, so I had to make a card with them!

The ornaments were all stamped and colored from the PKSC-31 July SOTM set.
I stamped the ornament garland from the Singing Elves stamp set and colored it with Copics then did a stitching line with my sewing machine at the top and bottom.
The sentiment is stamped from the July SOTM set and I added it to the card by punching holes in the ends and threading ribbon through.

LOL! Isn't this card so funny?!?! I laugh every time I look at it!
I cut the elf from the SVG Cutting Files Elf Life Set. I hid the face and instead stamped it with the NEW Peachy Keen Christmas In July 1 1/8 inch faces. I mounted him to a mat that I rounded the corners on and added a black dotted line to.
The sentiment is stamped from the Bell Ringer Elves stamps set. I LOVE this sentiment! It just cracks me up! And paired with that fun face, it's too fun!
To finish, I added some buttons to the side of the card.

From here, you'll go to Brigit's Blog. Have fun and enjoy the hop!
