Celebrate The Occasion Launch

I have a secret that I can finally tell you all! I am on the Design Team for a new challenge blog called Celebrate The Occasion and this is my first DT project! This new challenge blog is a weekly challenge that has to do with any kind of celebration. For this challenge it is Anything Goes Birthday. You can create anything that you like with any supplies that you want... Cricut, stamping, anything. I hope you all will check it out because I think it will be LOTS of FUN!
For my project I chose to do a pocket card. This is the first one I have ever done and it was alot of fun to create. I started with a 4 1/8 X 11 inch piece of cardstock folded in half. Then I unfolded the paper and cut 1 inch off one side...it doesn't matter which side and I kept that piece to use later. Fold back open and glue along the outside edges, fold back together, and you have a pocket. For the inside I welded the 4 inch mouse in the box from Birthday Bash to a 3.5 X 4.5 inch rectangle from George. I cut all the layers at 4 inches except the box layer for the mouse which I didn't use. I then cut a white piece for the inside card and stamped the Happy Birthday. To finish the card I added a piece of poka dot paper with ribbon wrapped around each side and tied a tag with a stamped sentiment around the ribbon. I also added that 1 inch strip of paper to the top ot the pocket with pop dots. I hope you all enjoyed seeing my project and I hope you will all go check out Celerate The Occasion challenge blog and participate. Have a great day!
P.S. They are giving away Simply Charmed! All you have to do is become a follower and leave a comment!

Cricut Cardz #59 Childs Valentine

Happy Sunday all! Before I get to my post I was just wondering if you all had seen the new products coming out at CHA this weekend? A NEW CRICUT EXPRESSION 2? That cuts both Cricut AND Imagine cartridges!!! I just want to say....I'm in trouble! :) LOL! There are so many cute Imagine carts that I have been jealous not to be able to use...but now??? Anyway, on to my post.
I made another one of these candy box's! They are so fun to make and SO darn cute! If you haven't seen my other one, you can find it HERE along with where to find the tutorial. This time I decided to make the box a little bigger in order to fill it with more goodies. I cut the scallop hearts from Twinkle Toes and 5 inches along with the layered heart which I ran through my Cuttlebug. I cut the elephant from Birthday Bash at 3 inches, stamped the sentiment, and tied a ribbon around the box. I am entering this into Cricut Cardz Challenge which is to make a childs Valentine. I hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Tweethearts!

Hi everyone! How cute is this card? These would make the cutest Valentines for kids to hand out. For my card I did a Treat Box Card. I found the tutorial HERE with the printable template...although the template is NOT accurate. You still have to follow the directions from the tutorial. And DON'T forget to add the acetate BEFORE you assemble the box....like I did the first time around! LOL! I didn't have the punch they called for so I just cut a rectangle using an Xacto knife and ruler and I filled the box with some M&M's. For the card part I cut the branch (pg.43) and birds (pg.28) from Straight From The Nest and glued on hearts to the tree branch's cut from George to the flowers. The Tweethearts (pg.71) was also cut from SFTN but I welded the S from Once Upon A Princess. I added the bowtie and flower to the birds and those are from Create A Critter. To finish the inside of the card I cut a frame from Storybook and stamped the sentiment. I am going to enter this into Card Creations & More By C's So Saturday Challenge #2 which is anything Valentine related. Have a great night everyone!

Butterfly Birthday

Hi everyone! It is My Pink Stampers birthday today so I made this card! I cut the butterfly from Once Upon A Princess at 3 inches. I cut several different colors and used the ones I likes and embossed the body with Swiss Dots. I also applied some white gems with my I-Rock to the butterfly and also to the card base for the antenas. For some added highlights I used my white gel pen on the wings. The sentiment is a stamp. I am also going to enter this into BBTB2 for their weekly challenge which is the butterfly from OUAP. Have a great day everyone!

Elephant Valentine

Hi everyone! Here is a card that I did for Always Crafting's Whimsical Wednesday challenge. This weeks challenge was to use an elephant. I cut this elephant at 2 inches from B is for Boy and welded a heart from George over the ball. I also cut an extra heart and embossed it with my swiss dots folder. I hand cut the tag and stamped the sentiment. I hope you all are having a great day!

Notebook

Happy Sunday everyone! Isn't this kitty so cute! I love how this turned out. I used my Bind It All for the second time. This book is very small....just the way I wanted it. It is 2 X 3.5 inches. I am going to put this into a Valentine basket for my niece. I cut the kitty from Everyday Paper Dolls custom sized in my Gypsy. I wanted her a little taller than the normal so I ended up stretching her. I took my stylis and embossed all the score lines on the kitty and mounted it to a piece of embossed and glittered paper. The heart I cut from Goerge at 3 different sizes and hand wrote the I and U in the hearts. I am entering this into the following challenges:
1. Throwback Thursday- Use Paper Doll Dress Up or Everyday Paper Dolls and emboss

Valentine Treat Basket

Hi everyone! Here is a Valentine treat basket that I made for M.A.G. Challenge by the Page. You were to use TBBM page 130 only. You are only allowed to use the cricut cuts on that page, no other even to decorate. I cut this box at 6 inches from TBBM. I added a fringe ribbon to the edges of the basket and for the image I cut it from the page shown above. All the paper is from K&Company Valentine stack. For the filling I cut strips of paper and crumpled them up and put them inside the box. I hope you all are having a great weekend! Take care!

You're Sweet

Good morning everyone! Here is a card that I did for My Creative Times Imagine Nation Monday and Fantabulous Cricuts challenges for this week. MCT's challenge is Sweet/Valentine and FCCB's is Sweet Shop. I cut this cake from Smiley Cards at 3 inches. I embossed the layers of the cake with Sizzix's Flower Vine and Large Flower folders. I stamped the sentiment and tied the bow with a brad. The paper is from DCWV Sweet Stack and Doodlebug. I hope you all are having a great day!

LOVE BOT

Hi everybody! I want to tell you first off that the Robots cartridge never really appealed to me but it was on clearance at Michaels for only $9.99! So I thought.....it's only $10 so I picked it up. It does have some cute robots in here (all robots in fact) but the font is AWESOME...so it was worth it to me. I wanted to try one of these 3D robots and decided to make a Valentine one. I cut Robot #49 at 8 inches. When I figured out where the middle was I used the center point function on my Cricut and cut a 2 inch heart out of the center using George and added a piece of acetate on the inside. I decided that I wanted hearts for his hands, ears, and antenna so I welded them in my Gypsy and then cut the layer hearts from George. I also welded the words together using this AWESOME font and added it to the base of the robot. To finish I added some google eyes and white pen to highlight the hearts and font. I plan on filling the center with some candy.....when I get some. I am on a diet right now and don't trust myself with candy in the house! LOL! :) I am going to Jamaica in a month and REALLY need to lose some weight if I want to fit in my swim suit! :)
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. Cricut Cardz Challenge: use the colors red, black, and white only
2. Paper Playtime: Use the word LOVE

Armadillo Gift Bag

Hello everyone! How cute is this gift bag? I did this for More Than Favors which was a gift/treat bag and Bitten By The Bug 2 which was either the bird or armadillo from Birthday Bash. I cut the purse from Once Upon A Princess at fit to page. I also cut the purse handles in the poka dot paper. The armadillo was cut from Birthday Bash at 2 inches. I added Glossy Accents to all the black on him except for his mouth and eyes. I wanted to get the look of patten leather....I think it does. It has a monochromatic look to it. I then added brads to the ends of the purse handles and the corners of the bag. The clasp is a lock brad and I mounted the closure on velcro. To finish I added the ribbon around the whole bag and stamped the sentiment. I hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Hello everyone! Here is the card I did for Jitterbuggin's weekly challenge. The challenge is to use the sketch, a bird, and something pink. I cut the birdcage from Four Legged Friends at 3.5 inches and the bird at 1.5 inches. To finish the card I stamped the sentiment and punched the border. And finally my pink in the card is at the top of the birdcage....I added a pink gem to it. I hope you all are having a great day!

Fantabulous Cricut #42

Hello everyone! Isn't this card SO CUTE? I love how it turned out! I did this card for Fantabulous Cricuts weekly challenge which was "winter warmies" hats, mittens, etc. I got out my trusty sewing machine that I really neglect lately and sewed around the card. I cut the girl from Jolly Holidays at 3 inches. Then I trimmed some of these fur balls off of a trim ribbon and glued them to her hat and dress. It really came out cute and very furry looking. Then I cut the mitten border from Winter Frolic at 1 inch and accented it with my black pen. To finish it I stamped the sentiment and added brads to the side and made my bow with a matching brad. I am also entering this into My Pink Stampers challenge which is to make something with either her stamps or pink. I hope you all are having a great weekend and don't forget to leave a comment here for a chance to win Winter Frolic. I will be drawing the winner tomorrow.

Valentine Card

Good evening everyone! I have a very glittery card for you today. It's hard to tell in the pictures but it IS very sparkley. I went to Michaels today and picked up one of the new heart embossing folders from Sizzix and couldn't wait to use it. I embossed the glitter white backround with it and matted it to a piece of black. I cut the heart from George at 3 inches and then layered it on another one cut at 3.25 inches....one of the challenges you were to use Goegraphically Speaking and I don't own that cart so I saw a heart very similar in the handbook and decided on this image. The stamped sentiment is a $1 stamp that I also picked up from Michaels today. To finish the card I added that really sparkly ribbon and used my I-Rock to put the gems on the heart. I am entering this card into the following challenges:
1. Paper Veriety- Use pink, black and or white
2. Cooking With The Cricut- Glittermania...use lots of bling and glitter
3. Cartridge Chaos Challenge- Geographically Speaking or similar if you don't have it.

Cheshire Cat?

Hi everyone! What do you think of my Cheshire cat replica? Always Crafting has her Whimsical Wednesday challenge going on and the theme is Alice In Wonderland. When I saw the racoon in Live Simply I knew that was going to be my card. I think it turned out fairly similar...and kinda cute. :) I cut the racoon out at 3.5 inches and cut 1 in purple and pink. I then trimmed the purple piece apart to get his stripes. I also rounded off his ears and face and made a "smile" for him. I found the quote online and printed it off my computer. I hope you all are having a great day and don't forget to leave a comment to win Winter Frolic!

THANK YOU!!!

Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Here is a card that I made for several challenges. I cut all the images from Birthday Bash. The cake only had 1 candle on it and I wanted 3, so I cut the original candle off and cut out 3 separate candles from a different page. I used my swiss dots folder to emboss the cake layers and the candles. I finished it with a ribbon and the stamped sentiment is from SU. This card is so much prettier in person. It got washed out looking in the photos. Here are the challenges that I am entering this card into:
1. Paper Playtime- Use only black, white, and silver
2. Peachy Keen- Sketch
3. Scrappy Moms Stamps- Birthday Bash
