CTO Challenge #37
Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Celebrate The Occasion! This week the challenge is FALL and it must include a PUMPKIN.
I cut the pumpkin from Smiley Cards at 3 inches. I always forget about this cart and I just LOVE this pumpkin! I inked all the edges and added a punched leaf to his stem. I stamped the sentiment which is from My Craft Spots Happy Fall set and added a punched leaf to that also. To finish I tied some crinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique.
I hope you all will play along this week and I can't wait to see what you will create! Don't forget to go check out what the rest of the DT has come up with for inspiration at CTO. Have a great day and thanks for looking!

Scrappy Moms Challenge - Doodlecharms
Hello everyone! I did this card to enter into Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge. This time the challenge was to use Doodlecharms.
I cut the reindeer from Doodlecharms at 3 inches. I stamped the eyes with a Peachy Keen face stamp and used a black and white pen for the highlights. The mats were cut from Once Upon A Princess and I hand cut the tag. I stamped the sentiment and added brads to the card. I also used Distress Ink to ink all the edges and added Glossy Accents to the nose.
I hope you all are having a great weekend and thanks for looking!

Scraptastic Mondays!
Hello everyone! I have some exciting news to share!!! I have been asked by Cindy of Cindy's Scraptastic Designs (formerly Cindy's Little Creations) to be a part of her first Design Team! YAY! I am so very honored that she asked me to be a part of this. She designs the CUTEST digis and will be opening a digi shop and starting up challenges every Monday called Scraptastic Mondays! The challenges will start on Monday November 7th and EVERYONE can play. You can create anything using whatever medium you choose. In other words you do not have to use digi's to play. But I have a feeling that when you see some of the cute things you can do with them, you will want to use them.
For my card I used Cindy's Digi Sweetie Scarecrow and colored it with colored pencils. The pumpkins were cut from Doodlecharms at 1 and 3/4 of an inch. I stamped the sentiment with a stamp from My Craft Spots Happy Fall set and used the Mesh Texture cuttlebug folder for the embossed background. Everything was inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
I hope you all will come welcome Scraptastic Mondays and play along with the challenges starting Nov. 7th! Have a great day and thanks for looking!

October 31st
Hello everyone! I have another Halloween card for you today. I just LOVE how this card turned out! I am pretty new to digital stamps and coloring, so this card made me very happy.
The witch digi came from Bugaboo stamps. They have some of the CUTEST digis! I masked off the digi and stamped the ghost which is from Peachy Keens Halloween Mini set. By masking it, the ghost looks like its in the background. I colored all the images with a combination of Copics and colored pencils. I tore the edges of the white mat and inked all the edges on all the mats and tag with black ink. I stamped the tag with a sentiment stamp from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting set and added a spider that was cut at 1 inch from Doodlecharms on a pop dot and a piece of fiber.
I am going to enter this into the Peachy Keen sketch challenge and Getting Cricky's Simple Sunday challenge. SS's challenge is to use the colors Orange, Black and one other color...I chose white.
Have a great day and thanks for looking!

LFIF Windy Challenge
Hello everyone! Here is a fun card that I made to enter into Peachy Keen's LFIF Windy challenge. When I think of skiing, I think of the wind in my face. That is what I used for my inspiration for my card.
I cut the skiing bunny from Winter Frolic and stamped the face with a PK face stamp. The snow hill I cut by hand and stamped the sentiment. I also did some inking around all of the cuts and added a faux stitched line around the card. I punched some snowflakes and circles for the snow and added Stickles to the circle snow pieces.
I hope you all are having a great day and thanks for looking!

Mini Monster Step Card
Hello everyone! Today is a BIG day! Game day that is. My son's high school football team made the playoffs and today is their first playoff game. GO FALCONS!
Here is a card that I made for a couple of challenges and because I just won this cart from M.A.G. Challenge By The Page and couldn't wait to play with it. THANKS GIRLS!
Everything on this card was cut using Mini Monsters. I cut the Haunted House for the back layer...don't you just love the poka dot roof? I cut the monster and used glitter paper for his belly and horns. The candy bucket he's holding I chose not to add the pumpkin face and instead used a black pen for the details. The fence I cut using my Gypsy to stretch out to the size of the card and cut pumpkins for the front. I cut the sign post and stamped the signs with stamps from My Craft Spots Happy Haunting set.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. Fantabulous Cricut: Purple People Eater: Use the color purple and either a monster or bug
2. Bitten By The Bug 2: Halloween using the color purple
3. Crazy About Cricut Thankful Thursday: Monster Mash: Create a project using a monster
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

Halloween Hello Kitty Style
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE WHIMSICAL WEDNESDAYS POST, PLEASE SEE POST BELOW!
Happy Friday everyone! I made this super cute bag to enter into a couple of challenges. I LOVE Hello Kitty and this bag. It turned out so cute.
I cut the bag from Plantin School book and used my Gypsy to cut out the circle in the center front. I also sized and cut the web for the front from Mini Monsters. I glued the web to the back side of the front in the open circle. I cut a slightly smaller circle for the back inside of the bag. I cut Hello Kitty from Hello Kitty Greetings and added Stickles to her bow and sucker. I did a white stitching line around the bag, tied a crinkle ribbon bow, and added 3D spider stickers that were from Recollections set.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges:
1. Bitten By The Bug 2: Hello Kitty Halloween Challenge
2. More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday: Halloween

Halloween Is Creeping Through Our Homes
This is the lantern lit up in the dark!
Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Whimsical Wednesdays! This time the challenge is "Halloween In Creeping Through Our Homes" Create a Halloween or Fall home decor project. This week our prize sponsors are The Prairie Bird Boutique who is giving away a crinkle ribbon bundle and Mr. Cricut Crazy who has generously donated a stamp set of your choice.
For my projects I chose to do a lantern and jack-o-lantern pumpkins. I am sure you all have seen these pumpkins done before but I couldn't help making mine a little scary! Instead of leaving them plain I chose to add faces to them. I used the tutorial here for the basics but changed my sizing to 1X6 inch strips and inked all the edges with distress ink. For the faces, I folded a piece of black paper in half and cut out triangles for the eyes and nose. For the mouth I used a 3.5 inch circle and cut it in half and cut out the mouths trimming it down to a size that I liked. I attached them with tacky tape and rolled 1X6 inch strips of Kraft paper for the stems. I also added curled paper and Crinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique for the stems and leaves.
For the lantern I found a SUPER SIMPLE tutorial here. I cut it out of Kraft paper and distress inked it with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.( I LOVE how this came out! It looks like metal and it does look SO much better in person. These pictures don't do these justice at all.) After it was all inked and put together I used a star punch to punch all the stars. I cut bands for the top and bottom and added a layer of Crinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique pleating it on the back side and then attaching it to the lantern. I used a scallop oval punch and punched out the Bat Brand badge from the Recollections Midnight Magic stack and attached it to the lantern. To complete the lantern I added a flameless candle inside and it looks so neat in a dark room shining through the stars!
As a special treat for you today we are also showcasing Mr Cricut Crazy's stamps! I have a card to show you that I did with Mr. Cricut Crazy's stamps! I used the Razzel set for my card.
I made the background paper by using a paw print stamp and Versa Color ink and white ink. The dog image I colored with colored pencils and stamped the sentiment. I hope you all will go check out Mr.Cricut Crazy's stamp line, especially if you're a dog lover. He has some very clever sentiments and cute dogs.
I hope you all will play along this week and don't forget to go over to Whimsical Wednesdays to see what the other amazing DT members have created for inspiration! I can't wait to see what you will create! Have a great day!
I am going to enter this into My Craft Spot's Monday Challenge which is 3D Halloween.

CTO Challenge # 35
Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Celebrate The Occasion! This time the challenge is "Male Birthday" and you must use METAL.
I cut the truck from Everyday Paper Dolls in several colors and cut apart the pieces for the different layers. I used a silver pen and colored the bumpers and added silver brads to the center of the tires. The wood crate on the back is cut from Freshly Picked that I sized in my Gypsy to fit. I tore a piece for the background and crumpled it up. I then inked the edges and high spots. The metal on the side I embossed with Mesh Texture embossing folder and I also inked this. I attatched it with brads and added more to the side of the mat. The sentiment is stamped and matted.
I hope you will play along this week and don't forget to check out what the rest of the amazing DT has come up with. I can't wait to see what you will create!

Creeping Spider
Hello everyone! I just got home from spending the weekend up north and wanted to do this quick card for My Creative Times Throwback Thursday. This time the challenge is to use a card feature from any older cart and it must be a Halloween theme.
This card is SUPER quick. I cut this card from Wrap It Up using the card feature. I cut another top out of the web paper and trimmed an 1/8 inch off each side to get the mat. I glued a piece of chunky glitter cardstock to the back side of the card front for the spider. I tied orange and black ribbons to the side and stamped the sentiment which is from My Craft Spots Happy Haunting set. I hope you all had a great weekend and thanks for looking!

Halloween Treat Bags
Hello everyone! I made these fun treat bags for several challenges....and to give to my son! I think these are called bag covers or bag genie's. I cut a 4.25 X 8.5 inch piece of cardstock for the cover. I scored it at 4.25, 5.25, and 10. I fold on all the score lines and on the 1 inch side I stapled it in the center after it's folded over. It reminds me of a match book cover. The mice were cut from Happy Hauntings and all the stamped sentiments are from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting set. I added suckers to one of them by simply taping them under the top flap with scotch tape. The eyeball's are in a clear sack that I stapled in to the 1 inch flap.
I am going to enter these into the following challenges:
1. Getting Cricky's Simple Sunday Challenge- Halloween Treat Holders
2. More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday- Treat Bags or Boxes
3. My Craft Spots Monday Challenge- Color challenge, Use Black with Orange, Purple, or Green
Whimsical Wednesday's challenge this week is also Halloween Treat Containers! If you hop on over there you can see what the amazing DT put together this week! This challenge is open until Oct. 26. I hope you all are having a great day and thanks for looking!

Hoo-Ray!
Hello everyone! Here is the card that I made for M.A.G. Challenge By The Page and Tacky Tuesday's challenge. For MAG you are only to use Create A Critter pg.25 for your Cricut cuts and for Tacky Tuesday's the challenge is to use an owl cut and the word "hoo".
Before I get into my card I just wanted to say THANK YOU to the wonderful ladies at MAG. I won last month's prize which was the Mini Monsters cart! So THANKS GIRLS! I can't wait to play with my new cartridge! O.K. on to my card.
I cut the owl from Create A Critter at 3 inches and inked around the edges. The background was embossed with Mesh Texture folder and I inked over it with distress ink. I stamped the sentiment and punched it and the scallop oval with Fiskars punches. To finish I added a ribbon and bow. I hope you all are having a wonderful day and thanks for looking!

Too Cute To Spook!
Hello everyone! I did this card to enter into My Craft Spot's Monday Challenge and Fantabulous Cricut's challenge. My Crafts Spots challenge this week is "Too Cute To Spook" and Fantabulous Cricut's is Pumpkin Time.
I cut everything from Paper Doll Dress Up using my Gypsy to size everything. I cut the cat and inked around the edges and added highlights with a white pen. The pumpkin I inked, used white and black pen to highlight and trimmed off the top. I also cut out the mouth and eyes with an xact-o knife and added a white tooth...isn't it cute? Hee Hee! For the top of the pumpkin on the top of the cats head, I used the hat from the pumpkin costume on page 68. For this cut and the pumpkin base I cut a layers for each color, so a total of 3 layers. I cut a 2.5 inch circle from George for the moon and embossed the background with the Cuttlebug Spots N Dots folder. To finish I used crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot and pleated it across the bottom layer and stamped the sentiment from My Craft Spots Happy Haunting set.
I just wanted to remind you of the Whimsical Wednesdays Blog Hop tomorrow night at 7 p.m. There will be lots of spooky fun things to see and some really great prizes too! Hope to see you there!!!

Think Pink!
Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Celebrate The Occasion! This week the challenge is Breast Cancer Awareness.
My card is VERY simple. I cut the ribbon and shadow from Car Decals. I mounted it on pop dots to a scallop square from a Nestabilities die. I printed the sentiment off my computer and added a ribbon.
I hope you will play along this week and don't forget to check out what the other DT members have created for inspiration. I can't wait to see what you'll create! Have a great day!
